Should I eat after getting a massage or can I fast? Was heard in the massage room recently…

Eating after a massage is highly recommended, but there’s an optimal approach here too. After a good massage, especially therapeutic massage or sports massage, your body has been working hard and needs replenishment.

Hydrate first: Drink at least 8-16 oz of water before eating anything.
Wait about 30 minutes: Allow your body to transition from the deeply relaxed state before introducing food.
Choose nourishing foods: After a massage, your body is in recovery mode. Foods rich in protein help repair muscles, while anti-inflammatory foods can reduce any post-massage soreness.
Great post-massage foods include:

Protein-rich meals like grilled chicken or fish
Antioxidant-rich fruits and vegetables
Nuts and seeds for healthy fats
Soups or broths that provide both hydration and nutrition
