Questions on pollination?
Not seeing any bees?
Flowers dying or not producing fruit?
One sure way is to pack your good garden with flowers in between your plants, small, medium, large, vining.
Petunias stay close to the ground
Morning glory flowers trellis all over the place & cover a lot of space
Squash flowers are big & bright & allow for multitudes of bees
Sunflowers are tall & mighty & bring in the hives.
I trellis my squash, pumpkins, watermelons, & cantelopes, cucumbers & Luffas to ensure the bees don’t miss these pollinating flowers.
Did this help?!

The perfect task to do with kiddos with your snapdragons.
Hilarious, especially hearing the noises and phrases they come up with

Started doing a garden tour at 7:15am this morning.
Didn’t get around to editing everything.
Came home & decided at 8:15pm I would try & w**d out the garden & see what’s growing
So many bugs, so many noises that sounded like mice, I’m done for the night & will edit to post what’s in the garden this weekend.

Another educational field trip & zoo for the bucket list.
The Roger Williams zoo in Providence Rhode Island.
We first checked out their bug exhibit separate charge from the zoo.
Life size & larger with moveable, sound activated bugs with educational information along a walk was pretty awesome. My girls felt like they were in Bugs Life & as I agree I felt more like Honey I shrunk the kids.
We then checked out the zoo from the cheetah, elephants with a show, giraffes, cranes, monkeys, moon bear, reptitle, hogs, penguins, farm animals, & so much!
They had a rainforest building you walk through with exotic birds that are perched or flying above you.
A must check out zoo if you’ve never been.

Burdock leaves are pretty massive!
What to do with them? Throw them in the compost of course everything has a purpose.
Do you grow burdock?!

Burdock root is simply one of my favorite medicinal herbs among rosemary, lavender, stinging nettle, chamomile just to name a few others.
Burdock is a supporter of liver & kidneys, so it’s a mild diuretic.
It’s also a supporter of the lymphatic system
Essentially it helps to assist in body waste.
I completely dry the root in the oven, & once completely dry I use to steep in teas.
Does this medicinal herbs interest you enough to grow in your own?

The spittle bug does look pretty cute
This “spit” protects the baby from heat, dehydration & predators from my understanding.
This is found on my yarrow & daisies.
When they are adults the are called frog hoppers.
Nature is pretty awesome, I love finding different insects in our little ecosystem, as long as they don’t jump on me or fly in my hair & I won’t be touching them but from afar I’ll enjoy them.
Do you have these in your garden?!

A photo of 8 trays about 17 plants potted in each one. Another 4 trays of 17 plants in each one. That’s 204 plants potted up in two days 1 hours each.
I still have 2 trays to pot up along with a few scattered 6 cells that will be ready in a few weeks
Tomorrow will be starting all the melons, more lettuces, flowers & brassicas to keep succession plating, have enough to gift to family, & possibly have my girls have a little plant cell in our neighborhood.
I should have from the start but will have to go through and tally everything I have of each variety.

This weekend!
Plants will be started in the greenhouse!
I’ll be repotting endless amounts of hot peppers, tomatoes & flowers in our grow tents in the basement.
I’ll be starting some seeds outside in our covered garden beds.
I’m so ready for sun & sunshine.
