We wish upon a star. We make a wish when we blow out candles on a birthday cake. We throw a penny (or, with the demise of pennies, maybe a nickel?) into a wishing well. Sometimes we get SO deep into the research, or even introspection, that we completely miss something genuinely obvious. As the sage adage so succinctly says, "you don't see the forest, for the trees." And, we're GUILTY...but now we're rectifying that major oversight! Shakespeare famously said, "A rose by any other name would smell as sweet"... and we heartily agree! Possibly the most ubiquitous of the "romantic" flowers – a favorite for Valentine's Day, weddings & strewn across a room or bed – the rose is ALSO one of the most popular fragrances & one of the earliest entries in our Aromatherapy 101 features. Anyone who has ever said, "It's just an animal" or "C'mon, it was only a pet" NEVER understood the unwavering loyalty or unconditional love a fur, fin or feather family member contributes to our lives. Losing a pet can actually be MORE emotionally devastating, simply BECAUSE they offered something no human could...AND, due to how quickly so many dismiss that grief! Be kind to yourself, know that you offered this pet a full life, and allow yourself to feel ALL the feelings you need to express, in honor of !

Let's get real for a moment. We hear , and often our minds go to those recycling bins, electric vehicles & tree-hugging, flower power acolytes. But, if we take just a minute to consider the actual word "environment," we realize that ANY environment is where a species lives, works & plays. It's OUR home...and to keep it "Home Sweet Home" we need to take care of it just as we would for ANY environment where we live our lives!
