Nothing brings people together quite like a potluck BBQ! On Thursday, residents gathered to share great food, lots of laughter, and even better company.

We were especially happy to welcome DiAnn back to the community after her recovery from a broken hip. Seeing friends reconnect and celebrate her return was a beautiful reminder that we are more than neighbors, we are family.

Wishing DiAnn continued healing and many more happy days ahead. 💕🏡

Ecumen Point Pleasant Heights was proud to participate in the Sunday Parade during Ki Chi Saga Days! Residents, families, and friends lined the route to cheer on our float and celebrate Bob and Nancy Butte's remarkable 28 years of residency at Point Pleasant Heights. The beautiful weather, smiling faces, candy, and community spirit made for a truly memorable afternoon.

Residents gather each week for meaningful conversation, prayer, and fellowship. The laughter, friendships, and uplifting music remind us how important it is to stay connected and support one another.

Sustainable Safari was here on Monday, with 5 animals to show us and teach us all about! The Tenants had a fun time seeing them up close and personal and even petting them if they were brave enough! We had; a porcupine, a woodchuck, a python, a millipede, and a joey—a baby kangaroo!

The youth from Zion Lutheran Church came over today to meet with the Tenants and enjoy some coloring and social time together! They sang a few songs and of course asked a lot of questions. Our head Cook, Cheryl's grandkids were here with the group too! What a sweet surprise!

How much fun can you have with a karaoke machine on a Friday morning during coffee time?! Well, as it turns out, ALOT! We had so much fun this morning singing and dancing to many tunes. More fun is already planned using this machine, and the dancing, laughter and singing was a neat surprise for all that were there!

What a night! The residents from Ecumen Point Pleasant Heights threw a great party on Tuesday, August 6th for National Night Out! Our local first responders showed up and received home baked goodies from the residents as a Thank you. Everyone enjoyed the 'Kitchen Band' who sang songs with musical instruments from their kitchens. The silly residents got extra love with bright red lipstick, and more fun was had by all!

We had a great time fishing today... perfect weather, cool breeze, overcast sky, 74 fish caught. Saw a beautiful eagle fly over our heads... not sure if it was looking for fish or just admiring our skills at casting our lines. 🤣

"To plant a tree, is to plant hope". 7 more trees are going into the ground this week at Ecumen Point Pleasant Heights! The crew from 2GD Lawn & Landscaping is busy planting and watering to get them through this dry stretch. We are so grateful to our residents who donated these trees to our campus this year!

We were honored this week to host Jenni Thyng who gave us an outstanding performance of history, song, and reflection. Through several patriotic hits, we remembered the 250th anniversary of the USA. She shared some sing along favorites and ended with a moving rendition of her favorite hymn, 'How Great Thou Art'.
