✋ Happy Left Handers Day! ✋

Today we celebrated all things LEFT at Heritage Manor! Our residents started with a fun word game called “What’s Left?” before taking on some left-handed challenges. They tried writing their names, stacking coins, drawing smiley faces, flipping cards, and moving ping pong balls—all using their left hands! 😂

It was definitely a challenge since all of our residents are right-handed! We had plenty of laughs along the way.

Then Paula, one of our CNAs, stopped by to watch the action —because she’s a lefty! 👏✋

A fun afternoon of laughter, teamwork, and trying something a little outside our comfort zones! ❤️

A big shout out to the team at Fairview Hospice for donating our August birthday cake on Friday. 🎂
We had one solitary piece left over after happy hour!
Everyone raved about how delicious it was.

What a wonderful day at the St. Louis County Fair! 🎡🌽 A group of our residents enjoyed taking in the exhibits, animals, delicious fair food, and all the fun the fair has to offer. It was a day filled with smiles, laughter, and great memories.

A heartfelt thank you to Tom & Jerry’s and Rupp Funeral Home for generously donating admission tickets for our residents. Your kindness made this special outing possible, and we are incredibly grateful for your support.

A special thank you also goes to Steve from Arrowhead Transit for squeezing us into his route and getting us to and from the fair safely. We truly appreciate your flexibility, kindness, and excellent driving!

We are so thankful for the amazing community members and businesses who help make experiences like this possible for our Heritage Manor residents. ❤️

What a spectacular day at the Doc Moonlight Graham Days Parade! 🎪🎈

A very special thank you to Kylie for her incredible creativity, hard work, and countless hours designing and putting our float together. Your vision and talent made our float one to remember!

Thank you as well to all of our staff who came out to walk in the parade. Your enthusiasm, smiles, and fantastic costumes made the day even more fun. We appreciate everyone who helped represent Heritage Manor and spread a little joy throughout our community.

We had a wonderful time celebrating with everyone and can’t wait for next year’s parade! 🎠🎉❤️

A huge thank you to the Field of Dreams Ghost Players for taking time to visit with our residents on Saturday morning! ⚾️ What an amazing group of men! 🏟️

Your visit brought so many smiles, sparked wonderful conversations, and gave everyone a chance to reminisce about America’s favorite pastime. We truly appreciate you sharing your time, stories, and love of the game with our Heritage Manor family.

Thank you for making our Saturday a little more special. We hope to see you again! ❤️⚾️

This afternoon’s Scratch-Off Challenge had everyone laughing! 🎉

Residents were split into two teams, and each person took a turn scratching off an action card. After completing the challenge, they scratched off a points card to see how many points they earned for their team. It was anyone’s game until the very end!

Some of our favorite action cards included:
🎼 Conduct an orchestra for 10 seconds
🦆 Act like a loon
📸 Make a funny face for a picture to earn DOUBLE points!
🌊 Have your whole group perform the wave.
💪🏻 Mirror an activity aide’s arm movements for 20 seconds.

A special shoutout to Gwen, whose hilarious funny-face photo earned her team a whopping 40 points! 🤣👏

We also discovered that MaryAnn has an excellent loon call! 🦆 And kudos to JanMarie on the opposing team, who had everyone in stitches when she confidently declared she was the loon calling on the opposite side of the lake! 😂

To top it all off, the winning team was rewarded with…what else? Scratch-off lottery tickets, of course! 🎟️🏆

There were plenty of laughs, lots of friendly competition, and memories made all afternoon. We can’t wait to see what game everyone conquers next!

Yesterday was a great day at Heritage Manor as our residents exercised one of their most important rights—the right to vote! 🗳️

A huge thank you to Cheryl, Jerry, and Kristi from the Chisholm city hall for coming out to help make the voting process run so smoothly. We truly appreciate your time, patience, and dedication.

We’re proud to share that 33 residents cast their ballots, including a few first-time voters! It was wonderful to see everyone participating and making their voices heard. ✅

In the afternoon, we switched gears and got creative by making beautiful pressed tin decorations. Thanks to Shelley in HR for snapping some photos while I ran to grab more pie tins!! 🤦🏼‍♀️

It was the perfect way to wrap up a day filled with civic pride, creativity, and fun!
