The other morning, Nick and I were sitting outside before the world had fully awakened. The grass was still holding the night's dew. The birds had begun their morning songs. The air felt soft and alive. There was no traffic. Just stillness.
As we sat there with our hot morning drinks, I found myself watching an old tree near the edge of the woods. It reminded me of something we often forget.
The trees do not rush their growth. They do not compare themselves to the other trees beside them. They do not question whether they should already be taller, wiser, stronger, or more healed.
They simply just grow.
Season after season.
Root by root.
Ring by ring.
And perhaps this is one of the greatest lessons nature offers us today.
We live in a world that encourages constant striving. More productivity. More achievement. More self-improvement. Yet so many people I meet are exhausted.
They are exhausted not because they are failing. But because they are trying to bloom without tending to their roots. And the deeper I walk this path, the more I believe that healing is not about becoming someone new.
Healing is about remembering who we were before the world told us who we should be.
A Small Practice for You Today
If you have a few moments, I invite you to step outside.
Find a tree, any tree, and sit beside it.
You don't need a special meditation. You don't need to do anything perfectly.
Just simply notice. Notice how the tree stands. Notice how deeply it belongs where it is. Notice how it reaches both upward and downward at the same time.
Take a slow breath and imagine your own roots extending gently into the earth. Not because you need fixing. Not because you need healing. But because you belong here too.
Stay here for a few moments. Listening. The earth is always speaking.
What part of yourself have you been trying to force?
What might happen if you offered it patience instead?
What if your next season of growth didn't come from pushing harder...but from rooting deeper?
The Path of the Sacred Root was born from these questions. This is not another course that I created. It is about becoming something more. It is a journey of remembering.
Remembering your relationship with the land.
Remembering your own inner wisdom.
Remembering the song that has always lived beneath the noise.
For many years, I searched for healing in all the places that I thought I was supposed to. I read the books. I took the trainings and got more certifications. I gathered knowledge and techniques.
Yet something still felt missing.
What I eventually discovered was that healing is not another thing to learn. It is a relationship to remember.
A relationship with myself.
A relationship with the Earth.
A relationship with the sacred web that is woven through everyday life.
The practices that became the foundation of The Path of the Sacred Root changed me in ways I never expected. I became more present. I began noticing things I had rushed past before, like the songs of the birds in the morning, the patterns of light through the trees, the quiet wisdom carried in the changing seasons.
Life now feels richer. Slower and more meaningful.
The things that once frustrated me no longer hold the same power over me, and I find myself responding more often than reacting.
I now listen more deeply.
I now trust more fully.
The anxiety that once kept my mind constantly searching for the next answer has softened. The heaviness of depression slowly gave way to gratitude, wonder, and genuine connection.
This is not because my life suddenly became perfect. But because I learned how to be present with life as it is. I learned how to root. And when we root deeply, we discover something beautiful:
The peace we have been searching for is not somewhere else.
It is right here. Waiting beneath the noise. Waiting beneath the striving. Waiting beneath the stories we have carried for so long.
The Path of the Sacred Root is not about becoming someone new. It is about coming home to who you have always been.
This mentorship is a journey of remembering your connection to the Earth, to your own inner wisdom, and to the sacred song that lives within you.
If you feel called to walk this path with me, I would be honored to share it with you.
And if not, may today's practice still serve you.
May your roots grow deep.
May your heart remain open.
And may you remember that growth is not measured by how quickly you bloom, but by how deeply you belong.
With Gratitude,
✨ Erin ✨
