At 34 weeks pregnant with twins, first-time surrogate Cheyenne thought she was having Braxton Hicks. Then things moved very quickly.

What does it really mean to have a “big heart” in surrogacy? ❤️

For a gestational surrogate, it means choosing to give something incredibly personal to help someone else experience the joy of becoming a parent.

It means months of appointments, medications, IVF and pregnancy. It means giving your time, your energy and a part of your life to a family who may have spent years hoping for the chance to have a child.

That’s why we say, “It takes a big heart to help build a little family.”

Because behind every surrogacy journey is a woman who made an incredible decision: to help make someone else’s dream of parenthood possible.

Two days of relaxing, reconnecting and spending time with some pretty amazing women.

Our recent SAI surrogate retreat at Glen Ivy Hot Springs brought together two groups of our gestational surrogates over two days for some much-deserved time away. One group joined us the first day and another the second, giving everyone time to relax, enjoy the spa and connect with other women who understand what it's like to be a surrogate.

Our surrogate retreats are about more than getting away for the day. They give our surrogates a chance to meet each other, share experiences, build friendships and be part of a community of women going through a very unique journey.

For women considering becoming a surrogate, this is also part of what surrogate support can look like: having opportunities to connect with other surrogates who understand the experience firsthand.

Thank you to all of our amazing surrogates who came out and spent the day with us and a huge thank you to our SAl team for all their hard work putting everything together. Planning events like this takes months and our team did an absolutely wonderful job making these two days happen.

Our amazing second-time gestational surrogate, Danesia, recently had her heartbeat ultrasound and pregnancy confirmation, and we’re so happy to share that she’s officially pregnant! 🎉

Our incredible Support Coordinator, Marissa, was there with Danesia for the appointment and got to celebrate the good news right alongside her. 🤍
