Calling all Pediatric Physical Therapists: we need someone who speaks fluent bubbles, balance beams, and big wins.

The Point Pediatric Therapy is looking for a Pediatric Physical Therapist to join our team.

This is the kind of work where progress may look like a first step, a stronger jump, a safer climb, or a little one proudly showing off something they worked so hard to do.

Our therapy team makes care feel fun, encouraging, and close to home for families in our community.

If you’re a PT who loves helping kids move, grow, play, and celebrate every little milestone, we’d love to meet you.

Six nominations. One message: Small Town, Big Care.

Today we’re highlighting Mental Health Services at Acadia St. Landry Hospital, nominated in the 2026 Acadiana’s Choice Awards.

Mental health care looks different for every person. For some, it may be support through a difficult season. For others, it may be care that helps them stabilize, reset, and begin moving forward.

At ASLH, we are proud to offer mental health services close to home through our partnership with Genesis Behavioral Hospital, as well as expanded access to outpatient mental health care with Morgan Thomas, PMHNP-BC, at Fleur De Lis Rural Health Clinic.

Together, these services help care for patients with dignity, compassion, and the understanding that mental health is an important part of overall health. Having this care here matters. It means patients and families in our area can access support without having to leave the community they know.

Voting is open daily through June 19 at voteacadiana.com.

Acadia St. Landry Hospital is nominated in six categories:
Best Hospital — Acadia St. Landry Hospital
Primary Care — The Point Primary Care
Doctor — Dr. Jacob Clement
Speech Therapy — The Point Pediatric Therapy
Physical Therapy — The Point Pediatric Therapy
Mental Health Services — Acadia St. Landry Hospital

Help us make it three. Vote ASLH in Acadiana’s Choice.

A lot of care happens in the little things.

A steady hand getting someone up.
An extra blanket.
A quick check-in.
Helping with the basics so a patient can focus on healing.

This Certified Nursing Assistant Week, we’re recognizing the CNAs who care for our patients at Acadia St. Landry Hospital.

Whether a patient is here for hospital care or recovering close to home after an illness, surgery, injury, or hospital stay, our CNAs are a big part of that care. They help with daily needs, support mobility, keep patients comfortable, and work alongside our nurses and therapy teams to help patients feel safe, seen, and supported.

To our CNAs, thank you for the care you give, the patience you show, and the way you help our patients through some of their most vulnerable moments.

Summer break is here, and we know nobody is ready to hear “back to school” just yet. But if last school year came with concerns about focus, organization, impulsivity, restlessness, completing assignments, or keeping up in class, now may be a good time to ask whether ADHD could be part of the picture.

At Fleur De Lis Rural Health Clinic, we are proud to offer more access to behavioral health care close to home. Morgan Thomas, PMHNP-BC, provides care for patients ages 12 and older, helping families better understand symptoms, talk through concerns, and explore treatment options in a supportive setting.

Getting evaluated now can help your child start the next school year with a better plan and the right support in place.

Six nominations. One message: Small Town, Big Care.

Today we’re highlighting The Point Primary Care and Dr. Jacob Clement, both nominated in the 2026 Acadiana’s Choice Awards.

When ASLH opened The Point Primary Care, the goal was simple: make it easier for people in Church Point and the surrounding communities to get the care they need close to home.

The Point Primary Care offers sick visits, wellness visits, chronic care, preventive care, and everyday support for patients and families. It is one more way Acadia St. Landry Hospital is working to meet the needs of our community.

We are also proud to see Dr. Jacob Clement nominated in the Doctor category. Dr. Clement has quickly become a trusted part of The Point Primary Care team, caring for patients with the kind of steady, thoughtful care that makes a difference.

These nominations mean a lot to us because they came from the people we serve. Thank you for trusting us, supporting us, and allowing us to continue growing care right here at home.

Voting is open daily through June 19 at voteacadiana.com.

Small Town, Big Care: Men’s Health Starts Here.

Some of the best reasons to take care of your health are right beside you.

This Men’s Health Month, we’re encouraging men in our community to make time for the checkup, blood pressure check, lab work, medication review, or conversation with a provider that can help keep them well.

At The Point Primary Care and Fleur De Lis Rural Health Clinic, our providers are here to help men stay ahead of their health, so they can keep showing up for the moments and people that matter most.

From primary care to everyday wellness, we’re proud to care for the families who call this community home.

Acadia St. Landry Hospital was built on more than brick and mortar. It was built on leadership, service, and a commitment to this community.

During Healthcare Executives Appreciation Week, we honor the leaders who have helped shape ASLH into what it is today.

Our story started long before today’s leadership team. From the early days of Church Point Sanitarium to the opening of Acadia St. Landry Hospital in 1967, this hospital has been built by people who believed our community deserved care close to home.

Over the years, different leaders have carried that mission through seasons of growth, challenge, change, and hope. Each one played a part in keeping healthcare rooted here in Church Point.

Today, we are grateful for the foundation they helped build. We are also proud to carry that work forward — growing services, supporting our teams, and planning for the future of rural healthcare in our community.

Looking back, we see dedication.
Looking forward, we see purpose.

We couldn’t let the students have all the fun!

After hosting our AHEC students for a pluck lab, we opened it up for staff too — and even had a few staff kids join in.

It was hands-on, a little messy, and a whole lot of fun. We’re still not sure who enjoyed it more: the kids or Michael.

Thank you to everyone who jumped in, asked questions, and made it such a great experience. Sometimes the best learning happens when you’re willing to roll up your sleeves and get a little uncomfortable.

Over the last two weeks, we had the pleasure of hosting our annual Southwest Louisiana Area Health Education Center students from Church Point High School.

They spent time with us learning about healthcare, meeting members of our team, and getting a hands-on experience they probably won’t forget anytime soon — a pluck lab with our CEO, Michael.

We were also glad to welcome our partners from Allegiance Healthcare: Home Health, Hospice & Palliative Care and Lamm Home Health & Hospice, who helped give the students a broader look at the many ways healthcare reaches people in our community.

We love being part of this experience each year and helping local students see the opportunities that exist right here at home.

Fleur de Lis Rural Health Clinic is hiring a CCMA.

We’re looking for someone who knows that a great clinic day takes more than vitals and paperwork. It takes patience, teamwork, organization, and the ability to keep things moving when the waiting room is full and the printer has chosen chaos.

If you’re a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant who enjoys caring for patients, supporting providers, and being part of a team that serves our community every day, this may be the place for you.

Visit www.aslh.org and check out our Careers page for this opportunity and others.
