On Wednesday, we had fun getting creative with a unique craft—a Wiffle Ball Sunflower Bouquet! 🌻

We started with a baseball-sized Wiffle ball, 12 sunflower tops, and a little hot glue. With some creativity and a lot of fun, everyone created their own beautiful hanging bouquet to take home and enjoy. 💛

It was a fun afternoon of crafting, chatting, and creating something special!

🍵 Tea Time! 🍰

Today was our Ladies Tea, and what a wonderful afternoon it was! Our ladies enjoyed an extra-special meal alongside their tea, beginning with delicious French onion soup, followed by beef tenderloin, mashed potatoes, and cauliflower. We ended the afternoon with a beautiful slice of red velvet cake. ❤️

It was an afternoon filled with wonderful food, great friends, laughter, and conversation. There’s nothing quite like gathering together and enjoying time with friends!

A very special thank you to our amazing kitchen staff for all the time and effort they put into creating such a delicious meal. And thank you to all of our other staff members who helped with serving and making sure everything ran smoothly.

It truly takes a team to make an event like this a success, and we are so grateful for everyone who helped make our Ladies Tea such a special afternoon! 🌸🍵❤️

🌟 Welcome to the Parklands Family! 🌟

Last Friday, we held a Meet and Greet to welcome our newest residents! It was a wonderful opportunity for everyone to introduce themselves, make new connections, and get to know one another.

As residents mingled and made new friends, they enjoyed a refreshing drink and a delicious banana split. 🍌🍨

We are so happy to have our newest residents with us and look forward to many wonderful memories, friendships, and fun times together!

Last Thursday, we celebrated our 2nd Annual Resident/Staff Talent Show, and what a wonderful afternoon it was! We were amazed by the many talents shared throughout our community, including sewing, crocheting, woodworking, painting, singing, poetry, and so much more!

The performances were truly special, but one of the most heartwarming parts of the afternoon was seeing so many residents come out to support their fellow friends. The encouragement, smiles, laughter, and applause filled the room and made the day even more memorable.

A huge thank-you to everyone who shared their talents and to all those who came out to cheer them on. Our Parklands family is filled with so much creativity, talent, and support for one another! ❤️👏

We celebrated Nick, one of our long-time dining associates, as he begins an exciting new chapter in his career! 🎉

After 8 wonderful years with us, Nick is taking a full-time management position with a local landscaping company. Nick has been a beloved part of our community, loved by both our residents and staff. His kindness, hard work, and friendly personality will certainly be missed around here!

We are so proud of Nick and wish him all the best in his new position. We’re also looking forward to seeing him come back and visit—we’ll always be happy to welcome him home! 💚

Last Thursday, we tried something new and creative—soap making! Samantha started by melting down the soap base, and then each resident received a portion to pour into their individual molds. Everyone had fun choosing their own colors and creating a soap that was uniquely theirs!

After giving the soaps time to set, everyone was able to take their creations home. 🫧💜

It was such a big hit that residents are already asking to do it again—this time with a special Christmas theme! 🎄🧼 We can’t wait to see what festive soaps everyone creates!

Tuesday night was a beautiful night for baseball. Even though the Red Wings lost 6-3 we had fun with friends and even won free tacos.
