All About Me Boards capture and share an HOC patient's life story, favorite things and what matters most to them. The boards are displayed in the room to celebrate and honor the patient's life and communicate their wishes. Community Service volunteers use colorful paper and decorations to boards that will later be completed with patient details. All About Me Boards are a meaningful way to support hospice care with a low commitment of time and resources.

There are three ways to serve:
1. "Drop-In Days" - Individuals can sign up to serve during a "Drop In Day" at the Blue Ash Inpatient Care Center: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/AboutMe
2. Schedule Private Group - Schedule a private group of 5 or more people by emailing hocvolunteers@trihealth or calling 513-246-9168
3. Complete Offsite - Order boards and HOC materials for pick up at the Blue Ash unit. Stickers, Tape and Scrapbook paper is not provided and must be donated for offsite projects. Email volunteer services to schedule a pick up.

Celebrate Fernside’s 40th Anniversary with a weekend of art, healing, and community.

Kick things off at our VIP Opening Reception on Friday, August 14, 6–8 PM. Featuring powerful artwork created by Fernside children and teens sharing their journeys through grief and healing. More from June! We had a great turnout at The Joy Healthcare Conference put on by Community First Solutions Lifespan. HOC Account Executives, Ted Brooks and Alec Guerin, were joined by HOC Education and Marketing Specialist, Carole Quackenbush, who presented educational information on hospice care.

June was a busy month! HOC Account Executive, Ted Brooks, and HOC Manager of Volunteer and Integrative Holistic Services, Lori Asmus, presented at an educational event at Meadow Falls Senior Living in Middletown Ohio.

Lori also presented Teepa Snow Dementia training to staff in attendance!

What an amazing Lasting Wish story! Last month, HOC helped organize transportation for our Central Region patient, Pamela Jackson. She wanted to attend her mother’s birthday party. Her mother, Frances Johns, also happens to be an HOC patient.

Through the HOC Lasting Wish program, we were able to transport Pamela from her residence at Glendale Place - to her mother's 91st birthday party! Both mom and daughter were very excited at the chance to spend the day together!!
