The Clermont County Board of County Commissioners proclaimed April as Child Abuse Prevention Month in Clermont County, recognizing the importance of prevention, awareness, and community support for children and families.

The proclamation was accepted by Dorothy Meier, Director of Clermont County Job and Family Services, and Anne Gross, Assistant Director of Children’s Protective Services.

Child abuse prevention is a shared responsibility, and together we can help create safe, stable, and supportive environments for every child in our community.

Last Wednesday on wear blue Ohio day the Mayerson Center was proud to recognize and celebrate our MDT partners during our annual community partner luncheon. We would like to congratulate our partners from West
Chester Police, Clermont County Sheriff, Brown County Sheriff, Hamilton County Prosecutor’s Office, Clermont County Prosecutor’s Office and the Cabinet for Health and Family Services that were presented with awards for their outstanding service for our patients and families. 💙

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month

The Clermont County Board of Commissioners has proclaimed April 2025 as Child Abuse Prevention Month. Last year, there were 84,524 reports of child abuse and neglect in Ohio, with 1,332 cases reported in Clermont County alone.

This month serves as a reminder that protecting children is a responsibility we all share. By listening to children, reporting concerns, becoming foster parents, or simply spreading awareness, we can help create a safer community.

On April 4, wear blue to show your support for child abuse prevention efforts. Together, we can make a difference.
