My passion is helping couples and individuals heal from emotional pain and trauma. I utilize a holistic approach to help you improve the quality of your life. My approach is shaped by my ministry work, experience in treating anxiety, depression, and trauma. I use various treatment modalities to customize your counseling experience, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotional Freedom Techniques

, Mindfulness Meditation, Brainspotting, and Imago Relationship Therapy. I feel great joy while working with my clients and seeing their lives transform from our initial meeting. There is no doubt in my mind that I was purposed to be a counselor.

GROWTH & GOALS

When most people think about goals, they think about achievement.

Do more.
Accomplish more.
Push harder.

But sustainable growth is about more than reaching a destination. It is about becoming.

Becoming more intentional.
More self-aware.
More aligned with your values.
More consistent with the life you want to create.

That is why Growth & Goals is one of the categories on the ALIGN Board.

The goal is not perfection. The goal is progress that reflects who you are becoming.

Sometimes growth looks like accomplishing something new.
Sometimes growth looks like honoring a boundary, asking for help, or choosing differently than you did before.

Every intentional step counts. Small actions repeated consistently can create meaningful change over time.

Gaslighting is a form of emotional manipulation that causes people to question their memory, emotions, or experiences.

Many survivors begin:
• Over-explaining
• Constantly apologizing
• Doubting their instincts
• Feeling anxious when expressing themselves

Awareness helps people recognize unhealthy patterns and begin rebuilding self-trust.

Have you ever noticed that being busy and being fulfilled are not the same thing?

The same is true for rest.

Being inactive and being restored are not always the same thing. You can spend hours scrolling your phone and still feel exhausted You can sleep eight hours and still feel emotionally depleted.

Restoration happens when we intentionally engage in activities that replenish us.

For some people that may be:
• spending time in nature
• prayer or meditation
• meaningful connection
• reading
• creative hobbies
• movement
• quiet reflection

One of the goals of the Nourishment & Rest category in ALIGN is to help people identify what genuinely restores them rather than simply helping them escape.

The difference matters.

A temporary distraction may help you avoid stress.

Restoration helps you recover from it.

NOURISHMENT & REST

Many people think of rest as something they earn after everything is finished.

The problem is that the to-do list is rarely finished.

The emails keep coming.
The responsibilities keep growing.
The needs of others keep showing up.

Eventually, we find ourselves physically present but emotionally, mentally, and spiritually depleted.

That is why Nourishment & Rest is one of the categories on the ALIGN Board.

Rest is not just sleep.
Nourishment is not just food.

Nourishment & Rest includes the practices that help restore your energy, calm your nervous system, and support your overall well-being.

Sometimes alignment looks like giving yourself permission to pause.

Not because everything is done.

But because you matter too.

A reminder for anyone who feels behind:

Small choices still count.

Growth does not always look dramatic.

Sometimes alignment looks like:
• taking a deep breath before reacting
• drinking water after forgetting all day
• resting instead of pushing through exhaustion
• setting one boundary
• taking a short walk
• writing down your thoughts instead of holding them in

These moments may seem small, but small intentional choices create momentum.

One thing I appreciate about the ALIGN process is that it makes space for both accountability and grace.

Not perfection.
Not pressure.

Just intentional movement forward.

INNER AWARENESS

One of the hardest parts of growth is slowing down long enough to notice what is actually happening inside of us.

Many people are functioning on autopilot.
Smiling while overwhelmed.
Working while emotionally exhausted.
Saying “I’m fine” while carrying anxiety, tension, frustration, or grief.

But awareness matters.
Your body notices.
Your nervous system notices.
Your emotions notice.

Sometimes healing begins with simple questions like:
"What am I feeling right now?"
"What triggered this response?"
"What do I need in this moment?"

The ALIGN process includes Inner Awareness because you cannot align what you refuse to acknowledge.

Awareness is not weakness.
It is information.
