There’s space for you this month to create, get paid, and say what actually needs to be heard.
We’re highlighting a few April opportunities for Cincinnati youth, from hands-on creative spaces, to ways to earn and build experience, to platforms where your voice around mental health can actually be heard.
Whether you’re looking for something to do, something to grow into, or somewhere to be real, start here.

March is Self-Harm Awareness Month.
And it doesn’t always look the way people expect.

Some behaviors get normalized or brushed off, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t harmful. If you see yourself in any of these, don’t ignore it.

You deserve care, support, and to feel safe in your own body.

If you need someone to talk to, call or text 988 for support.

Our friends at Kennedy Heights Arts Center are offering two free events this month for anyone dealing with grief or heavy feelings.

Yoga for Grief & Loss is this Saturday. It’s a low-pressure space to stretch, breathe, and just be for a bit. No experience needed. You can participate as much or as little as you want.

They’re also hosting an art therapy workshop called Exploring the Many Colors of Grief, where you’ll use paint and color to express emotions in a creative, supportive setting.

Both events are free and open to ages 14+. Registration is required.

Sometimes you carry things that feel hard to say out loud.

Writing to Exhale: Healing the Unspoken is a free six-week workshop for ages 14 and up where you can put those thoughts on the page instead. Through guided prompts, poetry, and conversation, participants explore identity, growth, and healing in a supportive space.

You do not have to be a writer to join. Just come as you are.

There’s a lot happening in the world right now, and it’s normal if what you’re seeing online or in the news feels heavy. Even when events aren’t happening close to home, they can still affect your mental health.

This post is a reminder that your feelings are valid. You don’t have to ignore them, and you don’t have to carry everything alone. Small actions like checking in with someone, sharing helpful information, or creating space to process can make a difference.

If the weight of it all feels like too much, support is available.

Call or text 988 to reach the Su***de and Crisis Lifeline anytime.
