Meet Dr. Mathews!
As Director of Behavioral Health Programming for Cincinnati Children’s Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), Dr. Mathews leads the development, evaluation, and implementation of programming that helps ensure high-quality, consistent care for patients across sites. She also supports ongoing quality improvement efforts and provides clinical consultation to help guide treatment planning.

One of her recent accomplishments? Leading the implementation of the Anxiety Specialized Care Pathway, part of the Gardner Family initiative and Mental and Behavioral Health Institute. Anxiety was selected as the first pathway due to its growing impact on youth, and the PHP successfully completed its rollout in May 2026.

To recognize the importance of mental health care for our patients, children, and employees, we lit our Family Resource Center on Burnet Campus in green from May 4–8. We will also light our College Hill campus in green throughout the month.

Eastgate Partial Hospitalization Program location is Open for Referrals.

Our Cincinnati Children's Partial Hospitalization Program has expanded to offer a new program location in Eastgate. Patients that benefit most from our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) are often struggling with school refusal, patient-family relationships, anxiety, depression or may be in need of medication management support. Major private insurances, CareSource and HealthVine are accepted.
