💼 Workplace Wednesdays: Celebrating Inclusive Employers

This August, we’re shining a spotlight on the businesses and organizations that are proving one simple truth:

Everyone deserves the opportunity to work, contribute, and belong.

Every Wednesday, we’ll feature local employers across the Greater Cincinnati area who are helping create more inclusive workplaces for people with disabilities. These organizations are opening doors, recognizing talents, and demonstrating that inclusive hiring isn’t just good for individuals—it’s good for businesses and our communities.

Creating an inclusive workplace goes beyond hiring. It’s about fostering a culture where employees feel respected, supported, and empowered to succeed.

By celebrating these employers, we hope to inspire more businesses to embrace inclusion and remind our community that every person has unique strengths worth recognizing.

Disability Pride Month is celebrated throughout July to honor the history, achievements, and experiences of the disability community, while advocating for full inclusion and accessibility. It commemorates the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) on July 26, 1990. The theme for 2026 is “The World Works Better With Us”.

As we celebrate Independence Day, it’s also a great reminder that independence isn’t one-size-fits-all.

For some adults with disabilities, independence may mean:
✨ Making their own decisions
✨ Living with supports
✨ Having meaningful employment
✨ Building friendships
