So sharing more of my whatnot journey. My very first show was in September. I made this a Men’s Tommy Bahama and or Linen show. My nerves were at a pretty high level as I’m not a public speaker by any means and I don’t love being in front of a camera. All that being said I sold over $400 in 90ish minutes. That money was mine now. I didn’t have to wait the 90ish days it would have taken me to turn on eBay for probably about double that money. So that’s the rub fast money for lower profits or velocity over profits. Can those profits get higher on whatnot? Absolutely. Checkout a Kaywayshop or Hairy Tornado whatnot show. Their profits are through the roof, they get huge audiences and higher sales. But they didn’t just start. They have been working this platform and learning this platform. Do they sell or source better than me???? Tough question. If it’s organic sourcing I say no, as I believe I am just as good or better than most at organic sourcing. However their huge audiences mean they get some opportunities for sourcing that I don’t. I’m working on that and trying to build some connections to get those and believe they will come in time. If any of you happen to know of people or places that maybe able to help with that supply definitely put me in contact. After that show do I see Whatnot replacing EBay poshmark Mercari and depop for me? No, at this time I don’t but I do see it as a great way to turn money fast if I can get the sourcing right. I need to thank my son Kobe Resells for helping get this first show under my belt and him and my wife Chrissy Royse for encouraging me to try it. I’m a chicken, I have a face for eBay (no one sees you there) and I’m very awkward. BUT I think I can do something with this so I’m going to continue working on it and hoping to get better. Stay tuned for my thoughts about show 2 where I did something completely different.
