October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month! 🎀

At Circleville Pediatrics, we’re reminding all the amazing moms, grandmas, aunts, sisters, and women in our lives to make their health a priority. 💗

Between caring for our children, families, and everyone around us, it’s easy to put our own health on the back burner. But taking care of YOU matters, too!

💕 Schedule your routine mammogram.
💕 Stay up to date on recommended screenings.
💕 Know your family history.
💕 Talk with your healthcare provider about any changes or concerns.

Early detection saves lives. Regular mammograms can help find breast cancer early, sometimes before a lump can be felt, when treatment may be more effective.

This October, let’s remind the women we love that their health deserves the same care and attention they give everyone else.

For all the moms, grandmas, and aunts who mean so much to our little ones — take care of yourself. They need you, and YOU matter!

🍂🤧 Fall Allergies or a Seasonal Cold? 🤧🍂

Fall brings cooler weather, beautiful leaves… and plenty of sneezing! But how can you tell if your kiddo has fall allergies or a cold?

🍂 FALL ALLERGIES
• Sneezing fits
• Itchy, watery eyes
• Itchy nose or throat
• Clear, watery mucus
• Symptoms can last for weeks
• Usually no fever

🦠 SEASONAL COLD
• Stuffy or runny nose
• Cough
• Sore throat
• Tiredness or feeling run-down
• Mucus may become thicker
• Sometimes a fever (>100.4F)
• Usually improves within 7–10 days

💡 A helpful clue: If symptoms seem to appear around the same time every year or continue as long as your child is exposed to an allergen, allergies may be the culprit. If symptoms start suddenly and improve within a week or two, a cold is more likely.
