Should embryo buyers receive more information before purchasing embryos?
When embryos are sold online, buyers often receive very limited information:
• Donor
• Sire
• Number of embryos available
Sometimes grade and stage are provided.
Sometimes they aren’t.
So here’s the question:
What information should be included when embryos are marketed for sale?
Would you like to know:
• Grade and stage?
• Donor production history?
• Previous pregnancy rates?
• Full sibling performance?
• Number of embryos produced from the mating?
• Genetic testing results?
Or is donor and sire information enough?
As embryo buyers, we’re often making significant investments with limited information.
What information do you believe should be standard when embryos are offered for sale?
👍 Current information is enough
❤️ More information should be required
