It just takes time to heal!! Getting your head right and then making a conscious decision to make better choices is key. I’ve lost the same 100 plus pounds over and over again in my life. But, finally tackling the main reason was a huge eye opener for me! Will the weight ever creep up again? I hope not but I also know it gets harder as we get older. Do I always eat healthy right now? No. I’m still a work in progress but I will say this, I’m definitely more mindful now.
If I break down and have that burger and fries, I savor each bite I take. I don’t scarf it down in 2 minutes. I take a bite, and actually enjoy it. I take note of the smells, textures, mouthfeel, and yes, even the sodiyum levels. Lol. Then I ask myself, was it all that? Did it hit that craving I was going after? Was it better than expected? Worse? Was it worth it? Sometimes the answer is yes. Sometimes it’s a no. Listen to your body and your soul. Only you know what is right for you! Don’t let anyone have you ever feel shame and or disgust for what you are eating or about to eat, or just finished. It’s your life and you deserve to be happy.
Look at my heavy pictures. Do any of you see the mask I was wearing? I’d put on a happy face but was totally miserable But, again, I had to dig deep. Deeper than I ever had this last time to climb out of that darkest hole I was in. I found the root of my issues and started standing within my truth. This is why creating my Ebook Overcoming Truama Triggers is so very important to me and wanting it to help so many others within their journey. I’m so close but still adding the finishing touches. Making a dozen more videos for it today.
Did I do it alone? No. First and foremost I must thank God, The Divine Light, and creator of the Youniverse. I also with my deepest gratitude want to thank my friends Zonya Foco and Jeff Lerner and Jaqueline Lerner and Stevie Marie for setting me on this path of total self discovery and being more than I ever thought I could be and or do.
I’m still working on my goal weight and I’ll hit it soon. It’s taken a while to get here so I’m not going to rush it. I’m actually at a weight I was back in 1996 when I stepped off the plane to be with my family as my Dad was at the end of his journey where I was able to help him transition as he was hanging on and waiting for me. I had to set him free. And now my family is happy for me and I know Mom and Dad are still with me as well! So don’t sweat the small stuff. Be happy where you are and with what you are doing. And if you’re not happy, make a decision! That’s all it takes. Choose You!! You got this!
