📢 CEMETERY MAINTENANCE UPDATE

We are pleased to report that Mother Nature provided a brief reprieve from the rain yesterday, and our crews took full advantage of the opportunity.

Shelby Memory Gardens received scheduled maintenance on Monday, and Chilton Memorial Gardens received maintenance on Tuesday. At GreenHill Memorial Gardens, our dedicated grounds crew worked until nearly 8:00 PM yesterday evening to complete mowing and backfilling of gravesites. They were back on-site at daylight this morning to complete w**d eating and final touch-up work before the next round of rain arrives.

While mowing and general maintenance have been completed at Shelby Memory Gardens, some gravesites are still in need of additional backfilling due to the significant amount of rainfall received in recent weeks. These areas will be addressed as soon as ground conditions permit our crews to safely complete the work.

We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to our cemetery staff for their hard work and commitment to ensuring that our grounds are maintained for the families we serve, especially ahead of Father's Day weekend.

⚠️ SPECIAL NOTICE – SHELBY MEMORY GARDENS

A large tree limb has fallen in the rear portion of the Christus Garden. Removal will require larger equipment than can safely access the area under the current ground conditions. The limb will be removed as soon as conditions allow the necessary equipment to enter the cemetery without causing damage to the grounds.

If you are visiting a loved one in this area, please exercise caution until our crews can safely complete the removal process.

As always, it is our privilege to serve the families entrusted to our care. We are grateful for the opportunity to complete these maintenance efforts before Father's Day and appreciate your continued patience and understanding during this unusually wet season.

📢 CEMETERY MAINTENANCE UPDATE

We would like to provide an update regarding mowing and grounds maintenance at Chilton Memorial Gardens (Clanton), Shelby Memory Gardens (Calera), and GreenHill Memorial Gardens (Childersburg).

During the summer months, our cemeteries are typically mowed every other week. This schedule allows us to ensure that the grounds are generally freshly maintained for important holidays and special occasions such as Mother's Day and Father's Day.

Unfortunately, the significant rainfall we have already received this week, combined with the additional rain forecast over the next 48 hours, has made mowing impossible at this time. Attempting to mow under these conditions would result in damage to the turf and create unsightly clumping of grass clippings throughout the cemetery grounds.

We understand that Father's Day weekend is approaching, and it was certainly our hope to have the cemeteries freshly mowed beforehand. However, current ground conditions are simply too wet, and additional rainfall is expected.

We also want to make families aware that recent interments may experience some ground settling due to the excessive rainfall. If you are visiting a recently buried loved one, please exercise caution, as the saturated ground around the grave space may be unstable in some areas. Any necessary backfilling and leveling will be completed as soon as weather and ground conditions permit.

As always, our goal is to serve the families entrusted to our care to the very best of our ability. We appreciate your understanding and patience during this period of unusually wet weather.
