"My sister recommended MediLodge of Clare to me because her son was here before and she knew I was going to get good care. Thank you to Kimmy, she is my favorite- she does my hair every day. All the staff are amazing. My nurse Chad is really sweet. My Resident Advocate Shannon is always really nice. I'm so happy I am able to return home thanks to the therapy I received. They helped me get out of bed and worked with me until I got stronger. Thank you to everyone"

Did you know? Skilled nursing facilities and nursing homes are not quite the same.

Skilled nursing provides physician-directed medical care and rehabilitation after an illness, injury, or surgery. Nursing homes primarily provide ongoing help with daily living.

Skilled nursing stays are often short-term and recovery-focused (though can be ongoing to treat chronic conditions,) while nursing home care is usually long-term.

We offer skilled nursing care, both long and short-term, at all our Medilodge facilities. Reach out to us and schedule a tour to learn more!

A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Local VFW!

We are incredibly grateful to VFW Post 5738 for honoring MediLodge of Clare with a certificate recognizing our commitment to proudly flying the American Flag. They also presented us with a beautiful new American flag, and we are truly thankful for their generosity and support.

In addition, during Bingo hosted by VFW Post 5738, one of our lucky residents won a beautiful handmade blanket that was generously donated by the VFW. Moments like these bring so much joy to our residents and remind us of the wonderful partnerships we share within our community.

Thank you to VFW Post 5738 for your kindness, patriotism, and dedication to serving our veterans and local community. We are honored by your support and look forward to many more wonderful memories together!

Better late to share then never! 🔥Nothing says Independence Day weekend like great food and great company!🔥

A huge thank you to our incredible Maintenance Director, Tim, for firing up the grill and treating our residents to a delicious Fourth of July weekend barbecue! 🍔🌭

Our residents enjoyed a wonderful afternoon filled with tasty food, smiles, laughter, and patriotic spirit. It's moments like these that make MediLodge of Clare feel like home and create memories that bring everyone together.

Thank you, Tim, for going above and beyond to make our residents' holiday weekend so special. We appreciate everything you do!

Resident Spotlight: Meet Bucky!

This week's Resident Spotlight shines on Steven, better known as "Bucky!"

Bucky shared that his dad gave him the nickname over 62 years ago, and it's been with him ever since! Born in Mount Pleasant, Michigan, and raised in Shepherd, Michigan, Bucky has enjoyed making MediLodge of Clare his home.

When asked what he enjoys most about being here, Bucky had this to say:

💙 "The food is great, therapy is wonderful, and everyone here is so kind."

While he misses his beloved dog, Lena, we're grateful to have Bucky as part of our MediLodge family. His warm smile and positive attitude brighten our days, and we're honored to celebrate him this week.
