📅 A Little Reminder About Appointments

We understand that life happens! Kids get sick, schedules change, and sometimes things come up unexpectedly. We completely understand. ❤️

We kindly ask that if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, you please give us at least 24 hours’ notice whenever possible.

When an entire family cancels just a few hours before their appointments—or doesn’t show up—it can be difficult for our small practice. Those appointments have been reserved specifically for your family, and with short notice, we’re often unable to offer those times to other patients who are waiting to be seen.

We truly value our patients and appreciate your understanding and consideration. If you need to change an appointment, please give us a call as soon as you know. It makes a big difference!

👁️ Eye Emergency or Eye Doctor? Know Where to Go!

Did you know that many eye problems don't require a trip to the emergency room?

Your optometrist can often diagnose and treat:
✅ Red or painful eyes
✅ Eye infections (pink eye)
✅ Sudden flashes or floaters
✅ Scratched eyes (corneal abrasions)
✅ Foreign objects in the eye
✅ Contact lens complications
✅ Sudden blurry vision
✅ Chemical splashes (after you've flushed the eye immediately)

Getting care from an optometrist can often mean:
✔️ Specialized eye care
✔️ Shorter wait times
✔️ Lower costs than an emergency room visit

🚨 Go to the emergency room or call 911 immediately if you have:

A serious eye injury with heavy bleeding
A penetrating object in the eye
Major facial trauma
Sudden vision loss accompanied by stroke symptoms (such as weakness, numbness, difficulty speaking, or confusion)

As we’ve shared over the past few weeks, our move into a new office has been an exciting journey. Along the way, we’ve had the opportunity to work with some wonderful local businesses, and we wanted to take a moment to recognize one of them.
