It is disheartening to observe the prevalence of wastefulness in our society, particularly when viable plants are discarded by retailers like Walmart. Upon inquiring about acquiring these plants for a local nursing home's horticultural activities, I was met with refusal. Even when I proposed retrieving the plants from the dumpster after they were discarded, the answer remained negative. This decision prioritizes waste over community benefit, highlighting a concerning imbalance in values. Walmart's choice to discard potentially beneficial resources rather than exploring alternative uses that could enhance the lives of elderly individuals in the community is indeed unfortunate.

The Claremore Veterans would like to invite the community of Claremore out to our beloved event, The Longest Day Tie-Dye Party to support fellow Veteran's suffering with Alzheimer's.
Bring a T-shirt and a few friends out to the Claremore Veteran's Home on Friday June 19th from 8:00-11:00am in the Auditorium and raise awareness while enjoying time spent with a great group of Veterans!
