A Proud Legacy
Since opening in 1978, Flowers has become one of the most recognized senior living communities in the Mississippi Delta. In recent years it has earned national recognition for resident satisfaction, reflecting the caring culture built over nearly five decades.
Some legacies aren’t measured by buildings… they’re measured by the lives that continue to be lived within them.
This is Mr. Dick Flowers, whose family’s generosity helped make Flowers Manor a reality nearly 50 years ago. Today, he still calls it home.
Each day, you’ll often find him waiting patiently for one of his sons to pick him up. Their destination is the family farm. They ride the fields together, checking the crops, talking about the land, and continuing a tradition that has been part of the Flowers family for generations.
There is something special about watching a son make time for his father. Those quiet drives through the fields are more than a ride—they’re a reminder that home isn’t just a place. Sometimes it’s the land you’ve loved, the family beside you, and the memories that never stop growing.
We are honored that Mr. Dick Flowers is part of the Flowers Retirement Community family, carrying forward a legacy rooted in faith, generosity and love. This morning he greeted me coming into work. It’s always with a smile and handshake or hug. He showed me his hat that he was so proudly wearing. I always love his smile.
