👉🏼Over-delivering can look generous on the outside.
But sometimes, it’s perfectionism in disguise.

It can sound like:
“I’ll just do a little more.”
“I want to make sure it’s good enough.”
“I don’t want to let anyone down.”

But underneath that extra effort is often fear—fear of disappointing others, being judged, or not feeling like enough.

Giving your best is healthy. Feeling like you always have to prove your worth is exhausting.

If this sounds familiar, try this:
- Pause and ask: Am I doing this because it matters, or because I’m afraid?
- Set a limit before you start so “one more thing” doesn’t turn into burnout.
- Practice letting “good enough” be enough sometimes.
- Notice when your worth feels tied to performance, and gently challenge that thought.
- Remind yourself: being helpful should not come at the cost of your peace.

You are allowed to care deeply without overextending yourself. You are allowed to be enough, even without the extra mile.

Explore the concept of Emotional Intelligence and learn how it impacts mental health and emotional well-being.

03/04/2026

Emotional intelligence (EQ) is the skill of recognizing, understanding, and managing your emotions and responding well to other people’s emotions, too.

It usually looks like:
- Self-awareness: “I’m anxious, not ‘lazy.’”
- Self-management: “I’m upset, so I’m going to pause before I text back.”
- Social awareness: “They’re stressed—this isn’t personal.”
- Relationship skills: “Let’s talk about what we need, not who’s wrong.”

EQ isn’t ignoring feelings. It’s using them as data, then choosing your next step on purpose.
