Celebrating Juneteenth with word searches, scrambles and coloring pages recognizing the importance of June 19, 1865.

"Union troops arrived in Galveston, Texas, and U.S. Major General Gordon Granger informed enslaved people of their freedom by reading General Orders No. 3: “The people of Texas are informed that, in accordance with a proclamation from the Executive of the United States, all slaves are free.” The day became known as Juneteenth, or “Freedom Day”."
