CW2 Ronnie Cash, ARMY, (Ret)

A Celebration of life service for CW2 Ronnie Joe Cash, ARMY, (Ret), 84, will be Thursday, August 27, 2026 at 12:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 11:00 AM until the hour of service.

Ron was born on February 5, 1942, to Henry and Artie Cash in Blue Ridge, GA. He passed away on August 23, 2026. Ron enjoyed fishing and spending time outdoors. He worked as a mechanic and proudly served in the United States Army before retiring from both the Army and civil service.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Jeffry Cash, stepchildren, Michael Woodhouse and Melissa Woodhouse, and siblings, Paul, Jay Burke, Charlie, Lena Mae, Lois, Arlene, and Ruby. Ron is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Karen Cash; his children, Ronnie “Joe” (Linda) Cash Jr., and Judith Renada Cash Risner, and the mother of his children, Jackie Cash; stepchildren, Aaron Woodhouse, Laura (Jessica) Pasquarelli, Sara (Nathan) Smith, and Linda Woodhouse; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Kara Anne Bearden

Kara Anne Bearden (Shoemaker), age 37, of Clarksville, Tennessee, passed away on August 22, 2026, at Vanderbilt Clarksville Hospital. She was born on May 19, 1989, in Schweinfurt, Germany.

After graduating from Austin Peay State University, Kara pursued a career in laboratory science. She had a deep love for animals and enjoyed spending time with her family and making everyone laugh. Kara was known for being a light to everyone she met, with a childlike zest for life that brought joy to those around her.

Kara's memory will be cherished by her mother, Debbie VanSant; father, Terry Shoemaker (Holly Shoemaker); sister, Marissa Shoemaker; brother, Caleb VanSant; and her loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents.

She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Paul VanSant; grandfather, Lyle Shoemaker; and grandmother, Alfreda Shoemaker.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.

SSG Bobby Joe Davidson, ARMY, (Ret)

A visitation for Bobby Joe Davidson, 79, of Woodlawn, TN will be September 3, 2026 from 1:30 PM until 3:30 PM at Sykes Funeral Home with full military honors following. He passed away August 22, 2026. He was born on January 3, 1947 to Merritt and Annie Davidson in Columbia, TN.Bobby enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, and gardening. He also enjoyed reloading bullets and was a member of the NRA.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Anna Davidson and siblings: Billy Ray Davidson, Larry Davidson, Linda Fay Woodard, James Davidson, and Brenda Joyce Davidson. Willis Mack

Willis Leroy Mack, 70, of Clarksville, Tennessee, passed away on August 17, 2026. He was born on October 13, 1955, in Winslow, Arizona, to Willis and Arlene Mack.

Willis proudly served in the United States Navy before retiring. Following his military service, he worked as an electrician. He enjoyed fishing, listening to rock and roll, and watching racing. He was also a longtime Los Angeles Chargers fan.

In addition to his parents, Willis was preceded in death by his brother, Dudley Mack; mother-in-law, Deanna Moreno; and father-in-law, Raymond Moreno.

Willis is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Lori Mack; his children, Katherine Mack, Sondra Mack, and Raelyn Mack; daughter-in-law, Kaitlyn Kramer, stepchildren, Gary (Dana) Cunningham and Allen (JoAnn) Cunningham; grandchildren, Hazel Mack, Iris Quinones, and Alina Quinones; nephews, Kevin (Terri) Mack and Chris (Cece) Mack; siblings, Barry (Jeanine) Mack and Cathy (Steven) Klaus; and his best friends, Mike Penrod and Tony Cascioppo.

SFC Michael Hein, ARMY, (Ret)

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Michael, a beloved husband, father, friend, soldier, a larger-than-life personality whose presence could light up any room, and a truly unforgettable man.

Michael was born September 17, 1971, in Connecticut and departed this life on August 20, 2026, in Clarksville, TN, surrounded by love. He proudly served 26 years in the United States Army, retiring as a Sergeant First Class.Throughout his military career, Michael was honored with the Meritorious Service Medal, two Army Commendation Medals, four Army Achievement Medals, eight Army Good Conduct Medals, and the Glen E. Morrell Award. He also received recognition for his overseas and international service, including the Korea Defense Service Medal, NATO Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon, and others. While his medals and accomplishments reflected his dedication as a soldier, Michael was most proud of the people he served with and the friendships and memories he carried with him throughout his life.

Michael continued his commitment to serving the military community through his nonprofit work with VetJobs and Military Spouse Jobs.

Although he was proud of his military service, his children were his greatest joy, and being their dad was one of the roles he treasured most. He loved making them laugh, embarrassing them just enough to keep them humble, and creating memories they will carry with them for the rest of their lives. He shared 26 wonderful years with his beloved wife, Melissa. Together, they raised three beautiful children: Morgan, Mackenzie, and Matthew, who were the center of his world.

Michael never met a stranger. He was the life of the party, always ready with a joke, a smile, or a word of encouragement. His friends and coworkers affectionately called his unique words of wisdom “Heinisims” and even made a plaque of his famous words/quotes, which he talked of often.

Michael didn’t simply love Disney—he approached it like a military operation. If the parks were opening, he was ready to rope-drop, waking the family at the crack of dawn because there were rides to ride and memories to make. His love of Disney was rivaled only by his love of Star Wars.

Michael was affectionately known as “the treat man” by his beloved pets Max, Misty, and Anubis. And anyone who knew Michael knew of his deep love for huskies, especially Koda Bear and Malakai (Maui). We can only imagine that those two have already found him in heaven, greeted him with the excitement only a husky can bring, and are patiently waiting for him to give them treats.

Michael leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, service, and unforgettable memories. He is survived by his loving wife, Melissa Hein, his children: Morgan (Skyler) Cornett, Mackenzie (Austin) Hodgin, and Matthew Hein. His mother and father-in-law, who loved him like a son, Patty and Edward Shepherd of Manchester, KY.

He also leaves to mourn his passing his mothers, Dawn Hein and Sharon Fuchs. His father, Mark Hein. His sisters, Torrey Hein and Genevive Knapp. His brothers, Willie Hein and Jeremy O. He leaves to mourn a host of extended family, friends, military battle buddies, and co-workers all over the globe.

His mission may be complete, but his love will live on forever.

Rest easy, Michael. Until we meet again—and knowing you, you’ve already found the best place to watch the fireworks. Your story will continue in every life you touched and every memory you left behind.

Until we meet again, Dad. Until we meet again, husband. Until we meet again, friend.

We love you fiercely. We miss you deeply. We will always remember you.

Junior "Lee" Godfrey

Junior "Lee" Godfrey, 74, of Dover, TN passed away on August 17, 2026. He was born on December 17, 1951 in Shelby, NC to Blaine and Lillie Godfrey.

Lee was a devout Christian, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was very social and enjoyed being around others and never met a stranger. He had a way of making people feel welcomed. He was especially proud of his role as “PawPaw,” a title he cherished. Lee enjoyed catfishing and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandson, Jackson Branch. Lee is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Linda Godfrey, whom he often said he wished he could have had even more time with; children, Gabbie Street, Eric (Michelle) Owen- Godfrey, Jessica Tanner, Margaret Anderson, and Angela (Jack) Gardner; his grandchildren, Shawn (Melody) Street, Lorelei (Jacob) McKinney, Eric Owen, Jr., Isaac Owen, Ethan Tanner, Jacoby Porter, Sean Anderson, and Bailee (Jackson McBride) Gardner; great-grandchildren, Marshall Branch and soon-to-be Mason Street, siblings, Sammy (Gail) Godfrey, Howard (Sharon) Tucker, and Melvin (Glenda) Tucker, and many other loving family members.

Patricia Elaine Gilmore

Patricia E. “Patti” Gilmore, 65, of Clarksville, TN, passed away Friday, August 14, 2026, at Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville. She was the beloved wife of Daniel Gilmore for more than 46 years.

In addition to her husband, Patti is survived by her son, Jason W. Gilmore; his wife, Christina; and by her cherished grandson, Kai. She is also survived by her siblings, Barbara Lander (Dan), Cynthia Perry (Phil), David Perry (John), and Carol Kelkis (Michael), nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews.

Born July 29, 1961, in Lewistown, PA, she was the daughter of the late John E. and Audrey B. (Freeberg) Perry. She was preceded in death by her brother, John D. Perry.

Patti was a 1979 graduate of Big Spring High School in Newville, PA. Soon after graduation, she became an Army wife and devoted mother, following her husband to military assignments in Germany, Colorado, Kansas, North Carolina, and eventually Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

She stood proudly beside her husband, Master Sgt. Daniel Gilmore, during his military service, including deployments to the Gulf War and Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan.

On the home front, Patti became the neighborhood mom-the mom whose house all the kids wanted to visit. She was always ready with homework help, snacks, a helping hand, or an extra ingredient when a neighbor was in the middle of baking. Over the years, she was a Den Mother, soccer mom, motocross mom, and a trusted mentor and source of support to other Army wives whose spouses were deployed overseas.

Later in life, Patti continued her education, studying accounting and minoring in Spanish at Austin Peay State University.

In recent years, Patti found a new passion in competitive shooting. She participated in and helped organize single-action shooting events. She was recently awarded the Eagle Eye medal for achieving the highest score in clean and accurate target shooting.

Patti will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her generosity toward others, her strength as an Army wife and mother, and the many lives she touched along the way.

At Patti’s request, a memorial service and inurnment at Nashville National Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family. The family encourages friends and relatives to share their support, memories, and reflections through texts, phone calls, cards and posts.

Allan Montgomery Workman

Allan Montgomery Workman, 92, of Clarksville, Tn passed away at home on August 12, 2026.

Allan was born June 2, 1934 to the late Dr. Rodney Montgomery Workman and Mary Nell Harris Workman. He grew up in Southside along with his younger brothers Robert and William.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sidekick and wife, Mary Evelyn Ray Workman, his brothers Robert and William Workman and his children; Kathy and Mark Workman.

He is survived by his children Max Workman, Susan Workman and Rodney Workman; one grandchild Colin Workman and two great-grandchildren Anna and Colson Workman.

Allan was a loving husband and father where family was the most important thing. He was, in every sense, a family man.

He had a long and good life. Between all the stories of his childhood where he traveled into Clarksville with his first sidekick, brother Robert to watch Westerns at the Roxy while his father saw patients on Saturdays, graduating from APSU with dual majors in Biology and Chemistry, guarding the Panama Canal, retiring from IBM after 31 years and exploring the entire country with his wife Mary, he was a man who smiled easily and often, made friends easily, flirted with his wife after decades of marriage and was the stable, loving influence and example in his children's lives.

He will be greatly missed.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Greenwood Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Sykes Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Bob Workman, William Workman, Fletcher Schrock, Bob Jett, Colin Workman and Brad Workman.

Forest C. Suiter

A funeral service for Forest C. Suiter, 91, of Clarksville, TN will be held Wednesday, August 19, 2026 at 1:00 PM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Trenton, KY with Bro. Chris Childress officiating. Burial will follow at the Suiter Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 11:00 AM until the hour of service.

Forest was born on December 6, 1934 at his family farm in Todd County, KY to Forest and Velia Suiter. He passed away on August 14, 2026. Forest was a deacon and trustee at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Trenton, Kentucky, where he served faithfully for many years. In his younger years, he enjoyed boating, fishing, and hunting. Forest was a third-generation farmer and took great pride in his work. He especially enjoyed riding his bulldozer. In his free time, he could often be found pushing stuff around on his bulldozer, watching Westerns, mowing his yard, and riding around in his truck checking on the fields.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Mark Suiter and siblings, Jack Suiter, Bobby Suiter, Pat Suiter, and Patty Bullock. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Margie Suiter, children, Michael (Janna) Suiter and Leigh Anne (Doug) Towe, grandchildren, Casey (Garrett) Winn, Mark (Maddie) Suiter, Marshall Suiter, Joshua Suiter, Mason Knapp, Kendall Suiter, Nathanael Suiter, Alexandra Suiter, Liam Suiter, and Caleb Suiter, step grandchildren, Brittani (Cole) Jensen and Chris Towe, great- grandchildren, Emily Winn and Harper Winn, and many nieces and nephews.

Grandchildren will be serving as pallbearers.

Honorary pallbearer will be David Howell.

Michael Alexander

Michael E. Alexander, age 72, of Clarksville, Tennessee, passed away on August 9, 2026. He was born on November 12, 1953, in Ft Hood, Texas, to T.C. Alexander and Dorothy Hardy.

Michael lived a life dedicated to his family, to God, his country, and his community. He proudly served his country as a United States Marine, carrying with him the honor, discipline, and commitment that came with that service.

After his military service, Michael continued his commitment to serving others in his beloved community. He proudly served as aCity of Clarksville Council Member, City of Clarksville Police Officer, and a Montgomery County Sheriff's Deputy. In each of these roles, he dedicated himself to helping others and making his community a better place.

Above all, Michael was a family man. He cherished his family with everything he had. He loved his wife of 40 years and was a broken man when he lost her. He loved his daughter and his grandchildren. He couldn’t pass someone he knew without sharing proud stories of them. He was man of God and a proud Christian. His faith was an important part of his life, and he was a beloved member of Bethel Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Sango. His faith and love for the Lord guided him throughout his life and were reflected in the way he cared for others.

Michael was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jennifer Alexander, and his sister, Vicky Alexander. While his family grieves his passing, they find comfort in knowing that Michael is now reunited with his dear wife, Jennifer, whom he loved deeply.

He is survived by his daughter, Sara (Noel) Price; his grandchildren, Noel Price Jr., Parker Smith, William Smith, and Kay Price; and his brother, Theodore Alexander.

Of all the roles Michael held throughout his life, perhaps none brought him greater joy than being a grandfather. He loved his grandchildren with all of his heart and treasured the time he spent with them. His love, guidance, faith, and memories will remain a part of their lives forever.

Michael leaves behind a legacy of service, faith, love, and dedication. He served his country as a proud Marine, served and protected his community, served his church, and most importantly, loved and cared for his family.

Though he will be deeply missed, his family takes comfort in knowing that he is at peace and has been reunited with his beloved Jennifer. We can imagine the joy of that reunion and are grateful that the love they shared continues beyond this life.

May Michael rest in eternal peace, secure in the love of his Savior and forever remembered by the family, friends, and community he served so faithfully.

A Celebration of Life service will be Saturday, August 22, 2026 at Bethel Cumberland Presbyterian Church at 12:00 PM. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the hour of service.
