Welcoming our new Director, Brian Rives, with open arms and plenty of excitement! He has hit the ground running and been an amazing addition to the Mental Health Court team!! 👏😄🎉

Montgomery County is pleased to announce Brian Rives as the new Director of the 19th Judicial District Mental Health Court in Montgomery County.

Rives brings more than two decades of experience in criminal justice, probation and parole, court operations, and community supervision. Before joining Montgomery County, he served as a Probation and Parole Manager with the Tennessee Department of Corrections, overseeing officers serving multiple Middle Tennessee counties. Rives has also previously managed probation and parole units based in Clarksville and has extensive experience working with the local judiciary and individuals transitioning from the court system into community supervision.

We had an invigorating time at the All Rise ’26 Conference last week in Nashville, TN! ⚖️🎊💼

Our growing team was able to connect and share knowledge with thousands of other treatment court professionals across the nation. Your Montgomery County Mental Health Court is only getting stronger and better thanks to opportunities like these. Very grateful for the amazing presentations, stories and resources from this past week. We are feeling renewed and looking forward to next year!

Our annual Mental Health Court field trip was bittersweet this year. While we had loads of fun at River City Clay, it was the last outing with our former Director, Sharita Brown. She has been a light and a crucial part of building the 19th Judicial District's Mental Health Court from the ground up. The care and dedication she has shown to each participant is truly unmatched. We wish her the best of luck on her progressive journey and will miss her dearly!! 💙💛
