This post isn’t to market or solicit patients from other clinicians but to AGAIN clear up on going massive confusion and misinformation. River Valley Counseling and Therapy, PA is NOT closed and has no plans for closure. It is also not owned or operated by River Valley Primary Care and there is a separate line affiliated with that practice. I’m the sole proprietor & owner since its establishment as a private practice in Clarksville in 2016. With the closure of many mental health providers I felt it’s important to clarify the confusion in these times of uncertainty as changes I am on vacation as planned months ago, and will return to normal business operations on Monday July 6th and am currently streamlining care to accommodate those who may be left without a licensed mental health provider as changes to insurance and mental healthcare guidelines continue. I am an independent practitioner serving residents in Johnson, Logan, Franklin, Pope and additional neighboring counties in a variety of means approved by insurances and the State of Arkansas. River Valley Counseling and Therapy is located at 401 E Main St Ste 1 in Clarksville and accepts an array of major, Medicaid & Medicaid based programs, Tri Care (Now known as Humana) and working as always to be an in network provider with insurance companies as needed to meet the ongoing needs for mental health counseling for those in need of care. I’ve served as a licensed counselor for 21 years and can fully understand the confusion in such unprecedented times. Additional information from all remaining providers will be provided in the coming days to ensure all have access to affordable appropriate care with the area. River Valley Counseling and Therapy, PA will be closed for summer break from June 27th through July 5th as previously planned months ago. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause during a time of multiple permanent closures for mental health clinics but this is only a much needed temporary break. During this time revamping and streamlining ways to provide care to accommodate to increase of those in need will occur. Please fax any referrals to 1-877-328-9521 and those seeking care may also email an additional recently added email [email protected]. Amanda Jones-Shelton, MRC, LPC will schedule one day to check in on the most critical current patients and will remain on call for currently active patients in a true crisis. Happy Mental Health Action Day! It’s no secret mental health is a serious issue. It’s no secret we have a crisis in this field and many changes. Today we challenge you to do ONE thing for your mental health whether it be a walk, a phone call for care, setting a boundary, or celebrating a personal victory only you understand: DO it.

Sincerest apologies for any patient or individual whose call may have been missed or not returned. Recent internet and cellular updates combined with strons have been a big barrier in returning calls. An update to some android devices included a spam call blocker and do not call sign up. That in turn blocked us from returning calls and they are going straight to voicemail becaue the main line is a cellular device afrikiatedwith a business. With increased spam calling to main line appearing like local numbers, it’s very hard to tell what is spam and what is referrals and voicemaik invix is filking uo qu**ky. If you haven’t heard from us as expected PLEASE reach out. Many missed calls were returned but went to voicemail or said “caller is unavailable”. If you are a patient please take steps to check your settings to make sure our line wasn’t blocked inadvertently. I know we have resolved this for many patients but there are still some problems being reported.
