There’s something special about getting to do this work right at home. 🧡

Day 1 of EMDR Basic Training here in Clarksville is complete!

I travel all over to train clinicians, but pouring into the community where I live hits differently. Every clinician trained here expands access to skilled trauma care, and that impact ripples from our training room to clients, families, and our community.

healing right here at home. 🧠🧡

And speaking of home… 😂

No airport. No hotel. No suitcase.

After training, I get to sleep in MY bed, with MY pillow.

Community impact AND my own pillow? 10/10. 😂🙌🏾

Day 1 down, four more to go!

Nobody tells you in grad school that you'll spend as much time on scheduling and billing as you do in the room.

This is what I actually use to keep it from eating my week.

Apparently, one of the most ADHD things I could do is participate in an entire summit about neurodivergence…and almost forget to consistently tell y’all about it.
So, here I am. On the LAST DAY to register for FREE.
I’m one of 23+ neurodivergent speakers at DIVERGE, a virtual summit created for neurodivergent entrepreneurs, visionaries, thought leaders, and creatives.
And when they say neurodivergent, they mean it. Every speaker is neurodivergent.
My conversation is about something I’m still actively living and learning:
Navigating neurodivergence as a Black woman.
Learning my neurotype.
Giving myself permission to pivot.
Unmasking.
Questioning the rules I learned about how I was “supposed” to work, lead, create, rest, and show up.
And discovering what becomes possible when I stop forcing myself down paths that were never designed with my brain in mind.
For me, diverging has looked like getting curious about myself instead of constantly trying to correct myself.
And ironically, this post is part of that story.
I wanted to share this summit more. I intended to share it more. My brain had other plans. Sometimes that is part of the tax of my neurotype.
So instead of beating myself up about what I didn’t do, I’m sharing it TODAY and trusting that it will reach the people who need it.
The summit is self-paced, with captions, transcripts, and audio-only options. No live attendance is required.
Today is the LAST DAY to register for FREE.
There is also a $97 VIP option if you want lifetime access, along with the speaker bonuses, freebies, and workbooks.
If you’ve ever wondered why the traditional path seems to work for everyone but you…
Maybe it’s time to DIVERGE.
Come find your people. 🧠✨

So full and overflowing right now I don’t even know where to start. 🥹

Got to stand on stage at the EMDRIA Annual Conference and accept the 🔥Emerging Leader Award🔥 alongside presenting with my good friend Dr. Arielle Jordan, no less. Full circle moment.

An emerging leader is someone breaking ground. Standing out. Pushing the field forward without waiting for permission to. I’ve been doing this work because it matters, not for the recognition but wow, does it feel good to be seen.

Humbled. Grateful. Blessed doesn’t even cover it.

This one’s for every clinician doing the work in the margins of this field. Keep going. 🙏🏾

Dr. Arielle Jordan and I are SUPER excited to be presenting at this year’s EMDRIA Conference! 🙌🏾

Join us Saturday at 4:30 PM for:

✨ Repairing Treatment Ruptures with Cultural Humility ✨

Because ruptures happen, even with the best intentions. The question isn’t whether we’ll always get it right, it’s whether we have the awareness, humility, and tools to recognize harm, lean into the discomfort, and repair when we don’t.

We’re looking forward to talking about what it means to practice cultural humility beyond good intentions, and how we can create space for authentic repair in EMDR therapy.

If you’re at EMDRIA, come hang out with us Saturday at 4:30! 🧠💚
