Good news for clients with BlueCross BlueShield (BCBS) insurance!

Vicky, our substance use/addiction specialist, and Bryonna, our grief specialist, are now able to accept select BCBS plans.

One important note: many BCBS plans in Tennessee are administered/paid through United, and those plans may be ones they are able to see.

Insurance networks can be confusing, so don’t assume you’re out of network just because your card says BCBS. If you’ve been looking for specialized support for grief, loss, substance use, or addiction, reach out to us and we can help determine whether your specific plan is accepted.

MSW Practicum Opportunity

Bonafide Therapeutic Alliance is exploring a practicum opportunity for an MSW student interested in gaining real-world experience in a private mental health practice.

This isn't simply an office-assistant position. The goal is to give an MSW student exposure to the clinical, administrative, organizational, and community sides of running a mental health practice.

Depending on the student's interests and MSW program requirements, responsibilities may include:

• Responding to calls, texts, and emails from prospective clients
• Assisting with scheduling and client communication
• Learning the intake and referral process
• Connecting clients with appropriate community resources
• Researching local agencies and organizations
• Conducting outreach to potential referral sources
• Developing professional referral relationships based on our therapists' specific specialties
• Building and maintaining community referral networks
• Managing social media and online listings
• Assisting with marketing and community outreach
• Developing mental health education and content
• Assisting with practice projects, policies, and procedures
• Tracking and evaluating outreach and engagement efforts
• Participating in staff meetings and practice discussions
• Other projects designed around the student's MSW learning objectives

The student would have the opportunity to develop skills in professional communication, client engagement, community outreach, resource development, organizational practice, ethical decision-making, research/evaluation, and improving access to appropriate mental health services.

Practicum responsibilities would be coordinated with the student's MSW program and learning agreement.

Are you an MSW student looking for a high-impact Generalist Practicum 1 placement? Bonafide Therapeutic Alliance, in partnership with 95 Counties, is launching a statewide initiative dedicated to providing no-cost mental health access to American Descendants of Slavery (ADOS) Veterans across all 95 Tennessee counties and we are looking for macro-focused MSW interns to help drive this mission forward!

This field placement offers hands-on experience in core macro competencies, including:
🔹 Program Development & Stakeholder Engagement: Building strategic networks with businesses, VSOs, and community leaders.
🔹 Targeted Outreach & Access Pathways: Designing engagement strategies to connect eligible ADOS Veterans directly to care.
🔹 Systems Building: Establishing standard operating procedures for state-wide referrals, intake tracking, and outcome measures.

Gain supervised macro experience, project management skills, and direct competency-based mentorship while making a tangible, statewide impact on health equity for Veterans.
