💜 Today after service, we had the opportunity to do a Naloxone training at Church of Living Water with Alexus from the Georgia Council for Recovery!

Thank you to everyone who stayed to learn how to recognize an overdose, respond, and use Naloxone. A few minutes of training can help save a life! 💜

💜 Brittany and Nic were out today installing Naloxone (Narcan) boxes in some of our rural areas.

New boxes are now located at the Tiger, Chechero, Persimmon, and Warwoman Fire Departments. 🚒
When you live in a rural area, even a few extra minutes can matter during an emergency.

📣 Please help us spread the word and let your neighbors know these boxes are there if they ever need them.

💜 RECOVERY SPOTLIGHT: BETH DARNELL 💜

This week’s Recovery Spotlight goes to Major Beth Darnell with the Rabun County Jail.

Beth has a genuine compassion for people struggling with addiction and believes recovery can begin even behind jail walls. She works hard to make sure people have access to opportunities, resources, and support to make a change.

Without the support of Beth and Sheriff Mark Gerrells, the recovery programs happening inside our jail simply wouldn’t be possible. 💜

Nic brings over 8 years of recovery, a strong faith, and a heart for helping others. He believes in showing up, staying connected, and reminding people that they don’t have to do recovery alone.

A huge THANK YOU to Warwoman Store for allowing us to place a Naloxone box outside! ❤️

In an emergency, even living 5 minutes outside of town can be too far when every minute matters.

Overdose can happen to anyone children, older adults, family members, friends. Accidents happen, and having Naloxone nearby could mean the difference between life and death.

Naloxone is safe to have on hand and only works if opioids are involved.

📍 Please help us spread the word! If you know someone who lives in the Warwoman area, let them know this box is available if they ever need it.

You may never need Naloxone but if you do, you’ll be thankful it’s close. ❤️

Meet Ashley and Tiffany, two incredible women showing our community what recovery can look like. 🙌

Ashley, Director of Women of Worth (WOW), has been in recovery for over 10 years. Today, she uses her experience, faith, and leadership to help other women find hope and build a new life.
Tiffany has over 3 years clean and serves as the Resident Manager at WOW. She is another example of how recovery can turn lived experience into purpose and an opportunity to help the next woman coming behind you.
