One of our favorite 🥇wins🥇lately has had very little to do with a number, a PR, or a performance metric.
A few of our student athletes have told us that as they’ve started eating more, their teammates have noticed.
They’re eating bigger lunches. Bringing snacks. Fueling before practice. Eating when they’re hungry. And instead of trying to make all of that invisible, they’re just…doing it.
And other athletes are starting to follow their lead.
I especially love hearing this from my female athletes, because there are still so many messages, spoken and unspoken, about how much girls and women are “supposed” to eat.
Athletes need a lot of fuel. Growing athletes need a lot of fuel.
And sometimes one of the most powerful things an athlete can do for a teammate is simply normalize that.
Leadership can look like eating enough & letting other people see you do it.
