The body adapts.
What began as protection became restriction.
Today, we challenged that by restoring range of motion and reclaiming movement in her shoulder.
Watch the difference. ✨
Restoring movement.
Restoring range.
Restoring possibility.

Yoga Lab came to a close this week and the difference was undeniable. ✨
The students who leaned into the process last week returned with tools instead of hesitation.
Understanding the blueprint.
Refining the transitions.
Identifying the blind spots.
Learning how the body actually moves.
So when it was time to fly…
They didn’t have to stop and watch everyone else.
They didn’t feel stuck waiting for the teacher.
They trusted the work they already put in.
Honestly… applause to these students. 👏
For showing up.
For being willing to learn.
For trusting the process enough to keep trying.
These videos are more than poses ~
They’re proof of what happens when students stop doubting themselves and start understanding their bodies.
And that’s when yoga begins to transform from simply doing the pose into truly understanding the practice. 🌿💖 ✨.

This week’s practice is about building from the strength you’ve already earned.
Every shake.
Every hold.
Every moment you stayed when it felt hard…
It’s all preparing you for what comes next. 💫
Wednesday, we lean in.
We trust the preparation.
We find strength in the process.
Many of you have been practicing Plank with Elbow-to-Knee taps, and what you may not realize is this:
”You are not 'just doing a drill.”
You are teaching your body how to fly.
Every time you pull your knee toward your arm:
• your core learns to support your weight
• your shoulders develop stability and control
• your body builds the mechanics needed for Crow Pose (Bakasana)
You are creating lift.
You are building balance.
You are learning trust.
Laying the Foundation Before We Take Flight
🍃Warm the wrists with circles + gentle stretches
🍃Slow Knee-to-Tricep taps to activate the core
🍃 Spread the fingers wide and press firmly through the fingertips and palms
🍃Push the floor away to activate the shoulders and create stability
🍃Keep your gaze slightly forward to lengthen the spine
🍃Lift the hips high to create space, control, and balance
✨The Science Behind Your Strength 🧬✨
Crow Pose activates an incredible team of muscles working together:
• Deep Core (Transverse Abdominis)
Your internal support system creating the “lift” that makes the body feel lighter.
• Serratus Anterior
The “boxer’s muscle” helping stabilize the shoulders and protect the joints.
• Hip Flexors (Psoas)
These keep the knees tight and compact so the body moves as one connected unit.
• Protracted Shoulders
By pushing the floor away, you create strength, stability, and the shelf that supports the pose.
✨Mechanics of Control✨
Crow is not about forcing balance.
It’s about understanding weight transfer.
🫆 Your fingertips become your brakes
✨Your core becomes your lift.
🍃 Your breath becomes your focus.
And suddenly… something that once felt impossible begins to feel available, and that’s the beauty of this practice.

75 minutes. One body. Noticeable change. ✨
This client arrived with significant tension and restriction through the hips, lower back, shoulders, and neck. Standing and walking had become increasingly uncomfortable, and range of motion was noticeably limited.
Using an integrative approach, we addressed areas of muscular and fascial restriction contributing to compensation throughout the body. By working with both the muscles and surrounding connective tissues, we were able to improve mobility, increase range of motion, and support more efficient movement patterns.
➡️ Swipe to see the before-and-after difference.
Results included:
✨ Improved mobility
✨ Increased range of motion
✨ Reduced muscular tension and restriction
✨ Less neck and shoulder tension
✨ Greater comfort with standing and walking
Sometimes what appears to be a posture issue is influenced by long-standing muscular tension, tissue restriction, and the body’s adaptations to those patterns over time. When those restrictions are reduced, movement often becomes more comfortable, balanced, and efficient.
Every body is different, and results vary from person to person. This transformation is a reminder that when we take the time to understand how muscles, fascia, and movement work together, meaningful changes can occur in how the body feels and moves.

Your progress matters beyond the time we spend together in class. 💖
At Breathe In Serenity, growth has always been about more than the pose. It’s about learning to trust yourself, showing up when something feels hard, and realizing that the words “I can’t” do not have to be the end of the story.
I included a few simple practice reminders to help support you at your own pace ~ so you can keep building confidence, strength, and trust in yourself, both in and outside of class.
This week’s classes were powerful. ✨💪🏼👣📜💦
We worked through barriers, challenged limiting beliefs, and took steps toward poses that once felt impossible.
As a teacher, one of the things I say often is: “When you say you can’t, I’m here to show you that you can.”
Not because every pose happens today.
Not because it comes easily.
But because growth happens when you stay open to the possibility.
Bakasana, Crow Pose, isn’t just about balancing on your hands. It’s about building trust in yourself, learning patience, and discovering that you’re capable of more than you thought.
Watching students move from “I can’t” to “maybe I can” to “I DID IT!” is one of the greatest privileges of teaching.
✨I see your effort.
✨I see your determination.
✨And I care deeply about helping you succeed.
🫆Keep showing up.
🫆Keep practicing.
🫆Keep believing.
You are stronger than you think. 🌿🧘🏻‍♀️💜✨

Crow Pose isn’t about perfection ~ it’s about trust, focus, and finding strength you didn’t know you had. 👑💫
Last night's hot yoga practice was all about stepping outside the comfort zone, leaning forward, and learning to fly. Every wobble, every fall, and every lift-off is part of the journey.
The heat challenges the body. Crow Pose challenges the mind. Together, they build confidence, balance, and resilience.
Keep showing up. Keep practicing. The impossible starts to feel possible one breath at a time.
