Some surprises arrive so quietly, so impossibly, that you can’t help but feel the Otherworld brushing past your shoulder.
A while back, I bought a ring for my Jupiter finger — a little talisman that reminded me of Persephone, with stones that looked like pomegranate seeds. It felt like a devotion piece, and a thread between worlds.
After a few months, one of the stones fell out. I sent it back to the jeweler, waited patiently, got it repaired… only for the same stone to fall out again. That time, it vanished completely. I searched everywhere. Eventually, I accepted it was gone — maybe claimed by the Underworld itself.
That was over a year ago...
And then the other day, while working on a client project, I dumped out a tiny jar of random bits and bobs… and there it was. Sitting on my gold hamsa working tray. The missing stone. The one that shouldn't be there and had been impossible to find.
There is no logical reason it should have returned, save that Persephone decided to stop by and say hello.
I quickly secured the stone of course and plan on taking it to a different jeweler here in town this time to have it repaired properly. And while I probably won’t wear it daily anymore — it will absolutely return to ritual use...I’m over the moon knowing this little talisman will be whole again.
A pomegranate seed returned.
A reminder that what is meant for you can find its way back across any distance, any realm. 🌺🌒✨
