Good morning! ☀️
Before the day gets too busy, let’s do a quick check-in:

🍃Have you stepped outside for some fresh air yet?

💧Did you get a big glass of water in before your coffee?

🏃‍♀️Have you moved your body intentionally, even just for 5 minutes?

🍉🥚What are you fueling up with for breakfast?

If you're struggling to keep these habits going, you don't have to do it alone. I made a handy tracker to help you stay consistent and build a routine that sticks!

I’ve been thinking a lot about what it actually takes to feel our absolute best. I think alot of people think it's supplement after supplement or hours of exercise or not being able to ever have your favorite foods again. It's not.
True wellness is actually pretty simple. It’s all about getting back to the basics and aligning with nature.

Here are the 8 habits I’m focusing on right now, along with a few daily challenges. Who is down to try these with me?

☀️ 1. Chase the sun -Being in the sunlight helps us sleep better, digest better, balance our hormones, and detox.
The Challenge: Get outside for 15 minutes in the morning, noon, and night.

💧 2. Hydrate on a cellular level - Plain water isn't always enough. Our cells and lymphatic system need minerals to actually absorb that hydration.
The Challenge: Drink half your body weight in ounces every day. Mix in some minerals, electrolytes, bone broth, or coconut water. Pro tip: Drink a big glass right when you wake up, before your coffee!

👣 3. Get grounded - Our bodies need more electrons than protons to stay healthy and fight inflammation. We can get these directly from the Earth!
The Challenge: Go barefoot outside on the grass or dirt for 15 minutes today.

🥑 4. Eat living foods - Our bodies thrive on real, whole, living foods—not dead stuff that comes out of a factory box or package.
The Challenge: Fill your plate with anti-inflammatory whole foods. Don't skip the macros—make sure you're getting good carbs, clean protein, and healthy fats.

🌲 5. Breathe outside - Trees are the lungs of the earth. Going outside to take deep, clean breaths changes everything.
The Challenge: Take a few minutes for conscious deep breathing every day. It’s way better if you do it outdoors!

💤 6. Protect your rest - Sleep is when the magic happens. It’s when our bodies repair tissue, grow muscle, regulate hormones, detox, and process memory.
The Challenge: Stick to a consistent bedtime and wake-up time, and don't forget to give yourself regular rest days.

🏃‍♂️ 7. Motion is lotion! Movement is the best antidote to pain and stiffness.
The Challenge: Sneak movement into your whole day. Walk, stretch, dance, lift weights—it doesn’t matter what it is, just keep moving!

🫂 8. Find your people - Connection is medicine. Surround yourself with people who truly add value to your life, lift you up, and make you feel amazing.
The Challenge: Reach out or hang out with someone who fills your cup this week.

Be intent in focusing on these for the next 90 days, then come back and tell me how you feel.

I don't wanna think about fall, but here we are.

It's important to keep your healthy habits going, especially this time of year.
I like these simple 5 from NativePath -

1. Hydrate before caffeine. Add lemon and a pinch of celctic salt for electrolyte support.
2. Move for 10 mins. before 10 am. - a short walk, stretch, or movement break can start your day off right.
3. Add color to every meal. Aim for at least one veggie at every meal.
4. Step outside for some natural light and help support your body's natural rhythm.
5. Create a wind down signal. Give your body a cue that's it's time to slow down- light stretching, herbal tea, reading, or a few quiet mins. alone without screens.

The Power of Breath - fun facts

we breathe 30lbs. of air a day

"no matter what we eat, how much we exercise, how resilient our genes are, how skinny or young or wise we are - none of it will matter unless we are breathing correctly. The missing pillar in health is breath"- BREATH by James Nestor

Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being. Genesis 2:7

Just a few reasons why adding a deep breathing practice into your day is so important.

Think you're drinking enough water? You might be.

Or you might not be. If you are drinking 8+ glasses of PLAIN water each day and experience any of the symptoms below, you could still be dehydrated.

Here are some signs to look for:
✔️You feel thirsty even after drinking
✔️Your lips and skin stay dry
✔️You get lightheaded when standing up
✔️Your energy dips in the afternoon
✔️Workouts feel harder than usual

Sodium, potassium, and magnesium help pull water into your cells and keep it there. That's exactly why your body doesn’t absorb water efficiently without minerals.
When you drink plain water without these electrolytes, especially in larger amounts, you dilute what’s already in your system, and that can leave you feeling worse instead of better.

🫗Rehydrating your body can be simple -
🍉Eat hydrating foods - Foods like watermelon, oranges, cucumbers, and bone broth contribute fluids along with minerals your body recognizes and uses well.

🧂Add minerals to your water - about ⅛ teaspoon of whole mineral salt to every quart of water you drink.
If you use an electrolyte supplement or powder, look for one with a mix of sodium, potassium, magnesium, and calcium.

☕Water first, then coffee - Coffee first thing can push you further into dehydration. Try water with a pinch of salt before your first cup. And if you're already dehydrated, keep coffee and teas to a minimum in favor of other beverages.
