Serving others doesn’t stop at the clinic doors. ❤️

For Lauren, Pillars with Purpose is a way to turn a lifelong passion for helping others into action. Through volunteering with local nonprofits and serving alongside teammates across Upstream, she’s seen how giving your time can make an impact in both directions.

We’re proud to have people like Lauren helping carry that spirit of service beyond patient care. 🤝

Inspired to get involved? Start small, find a cause that matters to you, and see where serving others takes you.

This or That: PT Edition 💪

A little weekend edition from our Upstream Rehab Institute Residents during a cozy learning lab 😅

Turns out PTs can agree on a lot... but definitely not everything 😂

Weekend lab attire aside, the opinions were strong.

Which side are you on?

Imagine a PT job that lets you travel the country 🌎

For Mauricio, being a travel PT means helping patients while exploring new places, trying local food, and experiencing different cultures from coast to mountains 🏔️🌊

One of the perks? The documentation system stays the same at every clinic, so he can focus on patient care instead of learning new systems.

Ever wondered what a travel PT career could look like for you? Check out our opportunities 🌐 LINK IN BIO.

Some exercises look intimidating at first, but that’s where the challenge begins.

Trust the process. Your physical therapist has a plan. 👀

Have you ever underestimated an exercise before? 😅

As a PT, running changed the way I look at movement. It’s not just about endurance. It’s about strength, coordination, control, and seeing how much the body can adapt over time. 🏃‍♂️

Running has taught me to appreciate the basics too. Strong hips, capable calves, good mobility, and proper recovery all play a role in helping your body handle more.

The best part? Progress doesn’t always have to be dramatic. Sometimes it’s running a little farther, feeling a little stronger, or simply enjoying the movement along the way.

What’s a movement or activity that has taught you something about your body? 👇

Do you hear a click in your jaw and wonder if it’s normal? 🤔

Jaw symptoms can be easy to ignore, especially when they seem small. But things like frequent clicking, jaw stiffness, headaches, facial tension, or difficulty opening your mouth can be signs that your jaw and surrounding muscles need attention.

Your jaw does not work alone. The muscles around your neck, shoulders, and face all play a role in how your jaw moves and functions.

Physical therapy can help assess how everything is working together and create a plan based on your symptoms and goals. 💪

If your jaw has been feeling tight, uncomfortable, or not moving the way it should, book an appointment with a Back at Work clinic near you.
