FND PSN Parent Support Network (PSN) ensures parents have the training and information they need to ensure their children lead productive, independent lives.

This program, funded by the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP), is the Parent Training Information (PTI) center for the following counties: Charlotte, Citrus, Collier, DeSoto, Glades, Hardee, Hendry,
Hernando, Highlands, Hillsborough, Lee, Manatee, Pasco, Pinellas, Sarasota, and Sumter. PTI services help to ensure that parents of children with the full range

of disabilities have the training and information they need to prepare their children for not only school but to be able to lead productive, independent lives to the fullest extent possible

Students eligible under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) may be eligible for assistive technology (e.g., text-to-speech, speech-to-text, and spell-checking devices). This presentation will detail how to request an evalualtion for assistive technology services and where they can be added to the Individual Education Plan (IEP).
