MS & Neuromuscular Center of Excellence – Tampa was recently featured in The Laker Lutz News about the opening of our new comprehensive MS center in Lutz.

Now accepting new patients, this new location brings specialized MS care, advanced infusion therapies, and clinical research opportunities together under one roof, expanding access to comprehensive neurological care for patients across the Tampa Bay region.

The center is led by Dr. Mark Cascione, who brings nearly three decades of experience caring for people living with MS, along with extensive involvement in MS research, including participation in more than 300 clinical trials.

⭐ Welcome Mark Cascione, MD – Joining MSN's New Tampa Site in Lutz, FL ⭐

Dr. Mark Cascione, a recognized leader in multiple sclerosis care, will lead the new Lutz center, bringing decades of experience treating patients with MS and helping expand access to specialized care across the Tampa Bay region.

Originally from Jackson, New Jersey, Dr. Cascione began his medical journey with a strong foundation in science and research, including early work at Massachusetts General Hospital. He joined Tampa Neurology Associates in 1996 and later launched the South Tampa MS Center to deliver specialized, patient-centered treatment for individuals living with MS. In addition to his clinical practice, he has participated in more than 300 clinical trials as a principal investigator or sub-investigator, helping advance innovative treatments for people living with MS.

Known for his compassionate approach and commitment to patient education, Dr. Cascione is passionate about ensuring patients feel informed, supported, and confident throughout their care journey. 💙

He will be seeing patients at our new MS & Neuromuscular Center of Excellence location in Lutz, FL, a 3,000 sq. ft. comprehensive MS center designed to deliver best-in-class care, featuring:

Today is World Brain Day! 🧠

This year's theme, Brain Health: Access for All, is a reminder that everyone deserves timely access to quality neurological care, regardless of where they live or the challenges they face.

More than 3.4 billion people worldwide are living with neurological conditions, making them the leading cause of disability globally. Yet many people continue to face barriers to care, including long wait times, limited access to specialists, and delayed diagnosis.

At our practice, we're committed to helping improve access to specialized neurological care through early diagnosis, evidence-based treatment, clinical research, and patient education. Because when it comes to brain health, timely care can make a meaningful difference.

Shreya Patel, MSN, APRN, FNP-C believes the best care starts with listening. As a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner at MS & Neuromuscular Center of Excellence, she is passionate about partnering with patients to develop personalized treatment plans that support their health, goals, and overall well-being.

With more than a decade of experience in both inpatient and outpatient neurology, Shreya cares for patients living with Multiple Sclerosis, neuromuscular disorders, migraines, movement disorders, polyneuropathies, and other neurological conditions. Her diverse clinical background—from primary care to neurocritical care—allows her to bring a thoughtful, well-rounded perspective to every patient she sees.

Whether she's answering questions, discussing treatment options, or helping patients navigate a new diagnosis, Shreya is committed to ensuring every person feels heard, informed, and empowered throughout their care journey.

Outside the clinic, she enjoys gardening, kayaking, volunteering in the community, reading, and spending time with her family. 💙
