Since the start of Covid-19(Sar2Coronovirus) we have been very active in testing, vaccinating,and treating COVID. The effort has been successful in that out of approximately 7000 patients tested, vaccinated, and treated we have sent less than 12 to the hospital and only 2 have died we were able to obtain Regeneron for treating acute COVID as well as prophylactically in vaccinated pates with high exposure risk. We have evolved our infusion center to include full cardio respiratory monitoring g during the infusions. We are open to all comers please call for further information.

West Coast Family Medical Care has recently began to be extremely active in identifying covid-19 positive patients including asymptomatic and symptomatic patients. We now do antigen testing and antibody testing. Antigen testing is the nasal swab that indicates acute infection. This test has been taking 2-7 days or more but our test is new and is a 15 minute test.Antibody testing test IgM and IgG antibodies revealing immunity and the body’s ability to contain the infection. This test is a 5 minute test .You may have both done and perhaps a repeat nasal swab to insure you cannot pass the infection to anyone else. Insurance’s pay for the testing self paying patients can call for a cost. You do not have to be a patient here to get the testing. Please call if interested.

We also offer the service to businesses to come there and test employees we can do as many as time permits but can be set up to handle 50 employees per hour call for more information @ 727-787-3911 ext. 2419

WCFMC is beginning a new program to help preserve independent physician practices in light of decline of independence as a physician. It has become a corporate world in medicine, up to 95% of all physician practices have been purchased and owned by insurance companies, hospitals , and private enterprise. This has caused insurance contracts not to be available to independent physicians but patient have to change doctors. The issue is , if a patient and family have seen the same doctor for 20-30 years, Changing to a corporate physician they will rarely see the same doctor and most of the time they will see a physician extender with the family seeing different providers each visit. Doing this, no provider will ever know or care about that patient or family as well as their family physician over the years.So many patients , even if their insurance doesn’t cover, will go back to the physician that they trust. But this makes the patient a self pay and while many independent physicians will work out the price but may not be able to give the time for that amount.

The program that myself and other practices like WCFMC is a type of hybrid concierge program . This a membership program that is like putting your long trusted physician on a retainer to be able to see same day and for up to an hour or more. It give you exclusive access to your physician only. It provides financial security for the doctors practice, it provides time and access for the patients. Your insurances can be used for labs and medication and the visit is covered by the program and co pay is the same as your current insurance even the doctor is not on your health plan. The last three weeks of our Hicks House of Horror for Sun Coast Hospice was a success it drew approximately 987 people and did over 400 % more than last year in donations will continue to get bigger and better wish everyone could see the event every October
