Through Sketch for Fetch, young artists create drawings filled with love and encouragement for pets receiving care in our Fetch hospitals. Displayed on ICU kennels, each piece helps brighten the space while bringing comfort, hope, and a sense of community to pet families and the veterinary teams caring for them. 🐾

Families can take their pet’s artwork home as a special reminder of the kindness and encouragement shared during their visit. Sketch for Fetch also introduces students to the world of veterinary medicine, showing them how creativity and compassion can make a meaningful difference.

Butters recently completed his radiation therapy treatments at Fetch Brandon - with his favorite stuffed animal by his side for a little extra support on graduation day. 🧸🐾 We’re joining his care team in celebrating this special milestone and every step Butters and his family took to reach it.

Most of us check the weather before heading outside... but the ground is what your dog's paws actually touch.

On a sunny Florida day, pavement can become much hotter than the air, putting your pup at risk for painful paw burns.

Before every walk:
🌱 Choose grass or shaded paths when you can.
🌅 Plan walks for the early morning or evening.

Pets are incredibly good at hiding illness. By the time signs become obvious, some conditions can be more advanced, which is why routine wellness exams and early health screenings are so important.

Signs that shouldn’t be ignored include:
🩺 Lumps or bumps
🩻Abdominal swelling or bloating
📉Unexplained weight loss
🍔 Changes in appetite
🤮 Vomiting or diarrhea
💩 Changes in urination or bowel movements
😴 Lethargy or depression
🐕 Limping, stiffness, or signs of pain

At first glance, it might look like the perfect place to cool off—but there's a hidden danger many pet owners don't recognize.

Blue-green algae (cyanobacteria) can produce powerful toxins that attack a dog's liver and nervous system. In some cases, just a few licks of contaminated water can become a life-threatening emergency.

Before letting your dog swim this summer, watch for:
💚 Bright green or blue-green scum
💚 Paint-like streaks or thick mats on the surface
💚 Water that looks unusually cloudy or has visible algae

⚠️ Signs of blue-green algae poisoning may include:
• Vomiting
• Excessive drooling
• Weakness or collapse
• Difficulty breathing
• Seizures

If you think your dog has been exposed, seek veterinary care immediately. Early treatment can make all the difference.
