🎆 Holiday Office Closure 🎆

In observance of Independence Day, our office will be closed on Friday, July 3rd and will reopen July 6th.

👩‍⚕️🩺 If your child needs medical advice while we are closed, our after-hours phone line will remain available to assist you at 727-599-0893. If necessary, our doctor is also available for emergency telehealth appointments throughout the holiday weekend.

🎇✨ Sparkler Safety Reminder ✨🎇
Sparklers may look harmless, but they can reach temperatures of up to 2,000°F, hot enough to melt some metals and cause serious burns in just seconds.

This Fourth of July, help keep your children safe:
🚫 Don't let children hold or play with sparklers.
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Keep kids at a safe distance while adults handle fireworks.
🎆 Enjoy professional fireworks displays whenever possible.
🩹 If a burn occurs, cool the area with running water and seek medical care if needed.

The safest celebration is one where everyone goes home with happy memories, not preventable injuries.

☀️ Apply sunscreen before heading outside and reapply throughout the day.
💧 Stay hydrated—bring plenty of water for everyone!
🧨 Leave fireworks to the professionals. Even sparklers can cause serious burns.
🏊 Keep a close eye on children around pools, lakes, and other water.
🍉 Enjoy healthy snacks and take breaks from the heat when needed.
🚗 Before locking your car, always check the back seat to make sure no child or pet is left behind, even for a minute.

🚨 INFANT FORMULA RECALL ALERT 🚨
The FDA has announced a voluntary nationwide recall of ALL lots of Nara Organics Whole Milk Powdered Infant Formula due to a potential risk of Clostridium botulinum contamination, which can cause infant botulism, a rare but serious illness.

⚠️ If you have this formula:
• Stop using it immediately.
• Do not feed it to your baby.
• Follow the manufacturer's instructions for obtaining a refund or returning the product.

🚨 Seek immediate medical attention if your baby has consumed this formula and develops any of the following symptoms:
• Constipation
• Poor feeding
• Weak or altered cry
• Drooping eyelids
• Difficulty sucking or swallowing
• Low muscle tone ("floppy baby")
• Difficulty breathing

The recall includes all lots of:
🍼 Nara Organics Whole Milk Infant Formula (400g & 700g cans)

Did you know sparklers can burn at temperatures over 1,000°F? Even though they may seem harmless, sparklers can cause serious burns and injuries especially in young children.

To help keep kids safe:
🚫 Never allow toddlers or young children to hold sparklers
👀 Always provide close adult supervision
🧤 Keep sparklers away from faces, clothing, and hair
🧯 Have water nearby to safely dispose of used sparklers
🎇 Consider glow sticks or LED light toys as a safer alternative for little ones

Fireworks may be exciting, but they can be very dangerous for children. Every year, many kids are injured by fireworks even sparklers can cause serious burns.

To help keep your family safe this Memorial Day weekend:
👀 Always supervise children around fireworks
🎇 Attend professional community firework shows when possible
🚫 Never allow children to handle fireworks or sparklers
🎧 Use ear protection for babies and young children during fireworks shows
🧯 Keep a bucket of water or hose nearby
🐶 Remember loud fireworks can also scare pets and young children
