When was the last time you had your hearing checked? If you can't remember, you're not alone!

Just like our vision, our hearing can change over time. And because hearing loss often develops gradually, you may not notice the changes happening.

Here are a few things to keep in mind:
👂 Don't wait for a problem. Routine hearing checks can help identify changes before they begin affecting your daily life.
📅 Know your risk factors. Age, noise exposure, medical history, and changes in your hearing can all affect when you should be tested.
🗣️ Pay attention to the signs. If you're frequently asking people to repeat themselves, turning up the TV, or struggling to follow conversations, it's time to schedule a hearing evaluation.

There's no single testing schedule that's right for everyone. A hearing professional can help you determine what's appropriate for you!

We had the pleasure of attending the Parker County Senior Connections Expo today, reconnecting with familiar faces, making new friends, and spending time with so many wonderful people who care about our community.

We’re grateful for opportunities like this to connect, build relationships, and continue finding ways to serve our neighbors. It was a great day to be in Parker County!

👂 | One hearing aid stopped working. Now what?

Ever put your hearing aids in, only to discover that one isn't working? Before you panic, here are a few things to check! 👇

🔋 Check the power: Make sure your hearing aid is charged or has a fresh battery.

🧼 Check for blockage: Earwax or debris can clog the microphone openings or the part that delivers sound to your ear.

🔄 Restart it: Turn the device off and back on, or place it in the charger if that's how your model resets.

💧 Check for moisture: Sweat or moisture may affect performance. Follow your manufacturer's drying and care instructions.

Still not working? Don't give up on it! Our team can help troubleshoot, clean, adjust, or repair your hearing aids—even if you didn't purchase them from us.
