Lovely older mare… there are no quick fixes for this but over time there can be significant improvement. I gave her riders some homework to work on until I can see her again.

This mare has been well cared for, her range of motion and flexibility down her spine is much better than you’d expect for her age.

It’s a great time to start checking on 2 year olds! Their muscles, bones, tendons, ligaments & joints do a lot of adapting quickly as they are started under saddle & learn to carry themselves properly along with a rider.

⁉️ What causes asymmetrical shoulders in your equine athlete ?

🧨 The equine body needs balance first the feet need to be in balance with the horse’s core structure. The nervous system and muscles need to play together .

🧨 The riders body needs balance to enhance the horse’s structure , when you ride off center so does your horse .

🧨 The Saddle needs to be symmetrical it’s meant to fit in a window on the horse’s back . When the saddle is not symmetrical and a skirt is placed wrong 😑, over time the horse’s body responds and becomes off balance .

🧨 This horse had balanced feet , this was the case of crooked skirts .
