It’s clear I haven’t been giving this account very much love over the past few months (okay many months) but life and social media are a wild ride. Creating engaging and educational content takes time that I have not had to give! I’m taking a small social media break and enjoying the remainder of my maternity leave with the intent of coming back in 2024 with a renewed sense of inspiration. ✨

40 weeks today! Little brother we are so ready to meet you, come on out whenever you’re ready!

I’m feeling great overall! The normal aches of end of pregnancy; no noticeable signs of labor yet but trying to remain patient and enjoy the last few days with my girls. It’s bittersweet knowing this will be my last pregnancy and I give my body so much gratitude. ✨

Yesterday I reached a huge milestone: I completed my certification! 🎉

It took me over 2 years, countless hours, all the support from my loved ones and lots of hard work but I am so proud and happy to have it done.

There are many paths to become a certified birth doula (and certification is not required to practice but I believe it’s an important step). I am being certified through DONA International so I have followed there requirements. Some of this includes an essay, reading of many books, supporting and documentation of a number of labors, references from previous clients and health professionals and compiling local resources!
