Dilation isn’t just about checking how clearly you can see. Those drops temporarily enlarge your pupils so your eye doctor can get a better look at the retina and the structures in the back of your eyes.

This can help us detect conditions such as retinal tears, glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, and other problems that may not cause noticeable symptoms early on.

Yes, the blurry near vision and light sensitivity can be inconvenient—but dilation helps us look beyond your glasses prescription and evaluate the health of your eyes.

So yes, dilation is necessary.

Keratoconus (KC) is a progressive condition where the cornea becomes thinner and changes into a cone like shape, which can cause blurry or distorted vision.

And here’s the problem: sometimes people spend YEARS thinking…

Whew! What a WEEK! 😅🙌🏽

From comprehensive eye exams 👀 to myopia control consults, dry eye evaluations, and IPL treatments… we were BUSY doing what we love—helping our patients see better and feel better. ❤️

A full schedule, a productive team, and a whole lot accomplished. We’ll call that a successful week! 💪🏽
