Heal and Hope Counseling Services, LLC is here to serve the community's marriage and family, social, behavioral, relational, mental, emotional, conduct, substance, and other issues with individual & group therapy! We speak Spanish, English, and do American Sign Language while providing masters level or above services, utilizing an eclectic/integrative approach for each of our clients. With empathy

and the ability to diversify-while assisting clients ages 4-100, individually, in classes or groups, and as we work with couples; regarding behavioral issues, marriage and family issues, substance abuse issues, as well as, mental and emotional health issues. Clients with domestic violence issues, trauma, or who are in crisis will find that we will empathize as we help each to find guidance and healing; and with our educational classes/therapy. We work with the Military and Civilian populations with the most updated treatment modalities. We are in networks with many insurances, EAP's and have a sliding scale.

Some clients want to wait until they have less family stress or better health prior to trauma work. The fear of feeling overwhelmed seems to be a huge deterrent. Relationships and health are often an issue due to trauma. The somatic symptoms often stem from trauma that has been buried deeply. When trauma work begins to process the trauma, then the client experiences better health and relationships. Trauma work cannot be an all-cognitive process which only works on the neocortex. Trauma is also in the body, and subconscious areas of the brain requiring modalities such as: Brainspotting, EMDR, IFS and Parts work, Flash Therapy, EFT along with the CBT and DBT modalities, while also exploring moral injury. Without the full scope of focus, trauma is not effectively treated.

đź’§ Could not drinking enough water affect your mood?

Dehydration does more than make you thirsty. It can contribute to fatigue, headaches, difficulty concentrating, irritability, and changes in mood—all of which can feel even more overwhelming when you are already struggling with depression.

Depression can also make basic self-care harder, including remembering to drink enough water. This can create a cycle in which dehydration adds to symptoms that are already present.

Water is not a treatment for depression, but staying hydrated is one simple way to support your brain and body.

Parenting isn’t about being perfect. It’s about finding the balance between love and limits.

Children need warmth: to feel heard, safe, valued and connected. They also need clear boundaries: routines, guidance and consistent expectations that help them understand the world around them.

Too much control without connection can leave a child feeling unheard. Lots of love without clear limits can make boundaries confusing. And when both warmth and guidance are missing, children may feel unsupported.

The goal isn’t strict parenting or “easy” parenting. It’s being present, listening, setting fair boundaries and showing children that rules can exist alongside kindness.

Every parent has difficult days. What matters is the pattern we build over time: connection, consistency and care.
