Joan Theresa Gulden Krauskopf, age 94, of Ruleville, MS, formerly of Muncie, Indiana, passed away at North Sunflower Medical Center in Ruleville, MS, on Sunday, May 31, 2026.

Joan was born September 3, 1931, to Edward and Hyacinth Hardoin Gulden in Detroit, Michigan. She graduated from Denby high school... and obtained her Registered Nurse degree from Providence Catholic Nursing School in Detroit, Michigan. She was a floor nurse in Ft Wayne, Indiana, and an Emergency Room nurse for over 25 years in Dayton, Ohio, and Muncie, Indiana. She married Robert "Bob" Krauskopf on November 11, 1952, at St Jude's Catholic Church in Detroit, Michigan. Together, they raised 10 amazing children. Many will remember Joan as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was a devoted Catholic and comforted many in her special, caring way. In her spare time, when she had some, she enjoyed sewing, traveling, drums, tap dancing, harmonica, and big family get-togethers.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Hyacinth Gulden, son William Dale Krauskopf, and sister Jean Pauline Nowak. She is survived by her husband of 73 years Robert Krauskopf of Ruleville, MS, 9 children; Mary Ellen Johnson (Kirk) of Berne, Indiana, Robert Edward Krauskopf (Leslie Faust) of Louisville, KY, Thomas Allen Krauskopf of Indianapolis, Indiana, Nancy Ann Berry (Samuel) of Muncie, Indiana, Joan Perkins (Ernie Scarber) of Ruleville, Mississippi, Timothy John Krauskopf (Maureen Quinn) of Kinnelon, New Jersey, Christopher Mark Krauskopf (Carol Garvin) of Oakalona, Kentucky, Matthew James Krauskopf (Aimee) of Marianna, Florida, and Catherine Jane Morgan (Robert) of New Palestine, Indiana, sister, Maryann Kubina of Michigan, 27 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church in Cleveland, MS. Father Kent Bowles will be the Celebrant.

An additional visitation will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at The Gardens of Memory Funeral Home, 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM, followed by a graveside service at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie, Indiana, 11:00 AM. A priest from St. Francis will be the Celebrant. The Wake will follow immediately after the funeral.

Jeffrey Thomas Daves, age 60, of Cleveland, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi.

Born in Greenville, Mississippi, to Willie Patterson Daves and Annette Hutchinson Daves, Jeffrey was a 1983 graduate of Cleveland High School. Throughout his career, he applied his skills as a mechanic at Greenville Motor Sports and Wade Implement, and as an electrician with Bob Martin Electrical and Mark Smith Electrical. Jeffrey was also well-versed in automotive mechanics. He found joy in shooting pool, riding dirt bikes, fishing, and playing the guitar. Jeffrey attended the Cleveland Church of God.

He was preceded in death by his father, Willie "Billy" Patterson Daves. Jeffrey is lovingly remembered by his wife, Patrice Mentor of Wyoming; his mother, Annette Daves of Cleveland, Mississippi; his sister, Lola Miller of Cleveland, Mississippi; his daughters, Jessica Harris (Jonathan) of Boyle, Mississippi, and Arabella Daves of Cleveland, Mississippi; and his grandchildren, Kiley Rose Harris and John Thomas Harris, both of Boyle, Mississippi.

Family, friends, and all who knew Jeffrey are invited to a visitation on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Cleveland Funeral Home. A celebration of life service will follow at 2:00 PM in the Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel, with burial at North Cleveland Cemetery. The service will be officiated by Reverend Greg Chamblee.

Pallbearers honoring Jeffrey’s memory will be Hank Phillips, James Jenkins, Mark Smith, Shane Partridge, Austin Ross, and Chuck Tackett.

Betty Louise Brummett, 53, of Vardaman, Mississippi, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2026.

Born on January 9, 1973, in Pontotoc, Mississippi, she was the daughter of William Junior Brummett and Ruby Nell Brasher.

Betty was known for her spirited personality, warm heart, and resilient nature that left a lasting impression on all who knew her. She found joy in simple pleasures such as riding horses, exploring back roads, canoeing, gardening, bargain shopping, and always embracing new projects. Some of her happiest times were spent sharing laughter and camaraderie during cookouts at the shop with family and friends.Above all, Betty cherished her grandchildren and delighted in spoiling them at every opportunity. Her life was marked by grit, humor, and a passionate commitment to living life on her own terms, leaving behind countless treasured memories.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Junior Brummett and Ruby Nell Brasher. Betty is survived by her children Buck Fortner (Abby), Cynthia Wheeler (Jimmy Lee), and Ariel Hernandez; three sisters, Jeannie Britt, Gayle Watkins (Danny), and Linda Brummett; her brother James Crawford (Brandy); and three beloved grandchildren, Jaxon Wheeler, Stella Wheeler, and Alivia Fortner. She also leaves behind her cherished grand dog Andy that she loved dearly.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, May 31, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Bailey Memorial Methodist Church in Vardaman, Mississippi. The Celebration of Life service will follow at 3:00 PM, with a private family burial taking place afterward at Loyd Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Jacob Mottz, Andy McCord, Robert Lee Brasher, Nathan Brasher, Chico Walls, and Jimmy Lee Wheeler. Honorary pallbearers are Steve White, Danny Watkins, Ricky Carson, and Jerry Brasher.

Mary Carolyn Laster Walker, age 79, of Cleveland, Mississippi, peacefully passed away on Monday, May 11, 2026, at the Bolivar Medical Center.

Born on July 26, 1946, in Marks, Mississippi, Carolyn was one of eleven children born to Leo Frankie Laster and Mary Magelan Dunn Laster. She graduated from Quitman County High School and began her career as an operator for Bell South. She also worked at Baxter Laboratories before marrying Jerry Walker, the love of her life, on January 21, 1966, in Marks, Mississippi.

Carolyn pursued her passion for cosmetology by graduating from Delta Beauty College and subsequently owned and operated the Beauty Nest for many years until her retirement. She was a dedicated member of the Cleveland Church of God. She treasured her time with family, enjoying activities such as traveling, cooking, shopping, camping, gardening, and tending to her yard with great care.

She will be remembered as a devoted sister, wife, mother, and grandmother whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of many.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Ann Topper, Frances Flemons, Shirley Dolan, Billy Laster, and Frank Laster. She is lovingly survived by her husband of 60 years, Jerry Walker; daughters Pam W. Phillips (Joe), Missy W. Lamb (Michael), and Sonia W. Braswell (Justin), all of Cleveland; siblings Betty Roberson of Water Valley, Barbara Burell of Oxford, Paul Laster of Scottsboro, Donald Laster of Crowder, and David Laster of Batesville, and her sister-in-law, Jackie Davis. She also leaves behind cherished grandchildren, Lauren Cummins (Brandon), Hunter Kovac (Maribeth), Hannah McNeer (Parker), Brianna Britt, Jayda Lamb (Alex Fikes), Mallie Britt, Gracie Kovac, Ansleigh Warrington (Preston), and Mikayla Wilson (Cody), as well as great-grandchildren Brailyn Cummins, Crue Cummins, Beckham McNeer, John Patrick Kovac, Brooks McNeer, Mary Cummins, Andi Kovac and Willa Fikes. A loving host of nieces and nephews will also carry forward her memory.

Mary Carolyn Laster Walker’s legacy of love and dedication will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2026, from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM, at Cleveland Funeral Home, followed by a Celebration of Life Funeral Service at 2:00 PM in the Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in North Cleveland Cemetery. Reverend Greg Chamblee will officiate the services.

Rose Marie Harper Hill, age 74, of Boyle, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 8, 2026, at her home surrounded by her family.

Born on October 11, 1951, in Duncan, Mississippi, Rose Marie was the beloved daughter of W. B. and Mary Lee Tucker Harper. A lifelong resident of Bolivar County, she married Bobby Lee Hill on October 25, 1969, in Shaw, Mississippi. Throughout her life, Marie dedicated herself to both her family and her work, spending 13 years with Duo Fast Corporation and many years thereafter in the laundry division at Delta State University until her retirement.

Marie was a devoted mother who treasured every moment with her loved ones. Her kindness and generosity touched many, and she found joy in helping others. She also had a fondness for collecting stuffed animals and was deeply committed to her faith, serving faithfully at Pace Pentecostal Church—a testament to the love and devotion she shared with her family and friends.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents; her cherished husband, Bobby Lee Hill; brothers William Harper, Charles Harper, and Billy Harper; and sisters, Mary Alice Harper and Shirley Lawson. She is lovingly remembered by her children, Randy Hill of Boyle, Mississippi, and Tina Hill Blaylock and husband John of Southaven, Mississippi; her siblings Roy Harper and wife Patsy of Warren, Arkansas, Jimmy Harper and wife Donna of Indianola, Mississippi, James Harper and wife Linda of Beaumont, Mississippi, and Ruthie H. Rogers and husband Eddie of Raymond, Mississippi; her grandson, Jason Michael Hill; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at Cleveland Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at Merigold Cemetery. Brother Kenny Williams will officiate the service.

Robert Lee Hayes of Beulah, Mississippi, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at the age of 76.

Born on July 18, 1949, in Indianola, Mississippi, Robert was the son of John Robert Hayes and Mary Elizabeth Anderson Hayes. Due to his father's military service, the family relocated several times during his childhood. Following in his family's tradition of service, Robert himself joined the United States Army in 1967 and bravely served as a paratrooper in the Vietnam War. For his dedication and sacrifice, he was honored with the Purple Heart Medal.

After returning home, Robert married Connie McKnight on November 6, 1971, in Rosedale, Mississippi. He built a long and honorable career as a long-haul truck driver with Boyd Brothers Trucking until 2017. Subsequently, he took on a leadership role managing the tarping division at Premier Warehouses in Greenville, Mississippi, until his retirement just weeks before his passing.

A devoted family man, Robert cherished every moment spent with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He found joy in fishing, tending to his garden, repairing vehicles, and delighting his loved ones by cooking breakfast for the family.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents, John Robert and Mary Elizabeth Hayes, and his beloved wife, Connie McKnight Hayes. He is survived by his daughter, Brandie Hayes Moore of Beulah, Mississippi; his son, JohnGordon Hayes (Ashden) of Oxford, Mississippi; and his three sisters, Faye LaFisca (Mike), Hazel Burgoyne (Bob), and Pam Allen (Jim), all of Louisiana. He also leaves behind cherished grandchildren, Gabryella Tamara Hawkins, Victor Ladell Hawkins, Christin John Hayes, Lennox Steele Hayes, and Lachlan Stone Hayes, along with two great-grandchildren, Jeremiah Kentrell Hawkins and Novah Deloris Hawkins. He also leaves behind a bonus daughter, whom he loved like his own, Kelly Tweedle, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Cleveland Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 PM in the Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Reverend Chris Gentry.

Patsy Ruth Mullen Rigby, aged 84, of Cleveland, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at the Select Specialty Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi.

Born on August 15, 1941, in Greenwood, Mississippi, Patsy was the beloved daughter of Silas Mullen and Ruby Jewel Harris Mullen. She grew up in Ruleville, Mississippi, and attended schools in both Ruleville and Cleveland. Following her graduation from high school, she married Allen "Buddy" Rigby on May 31, 1958, a partnership filled with love and devotion.

Throughout her life, Patsy embraced her work with dedication, serving in various local clinics where she managed medical records. She also contributed her talents at the Bolivar Medical Center and faithfully served as a deputy for the Bolivar County Sheriff's Office for many years. Patsy found joy in many pastimes, including reading, dancing, playing cards, and gardening. Most cherished of all was the time she spent with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed fishing with Allen, her son, and in earlier years, she took pleasure in participating in bowling leagues.

A devoted member of her community, Patsy was a faithful member of Interstate Baptist Church and a long-standing member of the Cleveland Moose Lodge.

A visitation to honor Patsy’s life will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2026, from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Cleveland Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life Memorial Service will follow at 2:00 PM in the Funeral Home Chapel. Her cremains will be laid to rest at Lehrton Cemetery. Reverend Ken West and Reverend Bob Hill will officiate the services.

Pasty was preceded in death by her parents, Silas and Ruby Mullen; her husband, Allen "Buddy" Rigby, Jr., daughters, Jeana R. Jones, Luan R. Towles, and great-grandson Evan "Like" Rigby; her siblings, Dorothy Arnold, Carl Mullen, Alice VanNetta, and Joyce Thomson. She is survived by her daughters, Mitzi R. Hatcher (Bill) of Cleveland, MS, Madison Rigby, and Kailyn Rigby, both of Cleveland, MS. Son Carl Allen Rigby (Teresa) of Holcomb, MS, five grandchildren; Read Hatcher, Emily H. Bowen (Marcus), Jon Milum (Samantha), Amy Towles, Keri Beth Mosley (John), five great grandchildren; Ella Hatcher, Maddox Milum, Cayson Milum, Halle Mosley, Aubrey Mosley and Ruby Bowen. Two great great grandchildren, Camila Flores and Mabrie Herren.

Patsy’s family has requested that Allen Rigby serve as a pallbearer. Honorary pallbearers include Bill Hatcher, Read Hatcher, Maddox Milum, Cayson Milum, Jonathan Milum, Jon Mosley, Marcus Bowen, Lee White, Manuel Flores and Tiny Avery.

Christopher Lee Yarborough, age 41, of Saltillo, Mississippi, formerly of Cleveland, Mississippi, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at his home in Saltillo, Mississippi.

Born on October 7, 1984, in Cleveland, Mississippi, Christopher was the beloved son of Doug Yarborough and Patricia Witt Yarborough. He was raised in Cleveland and graduated from Cleveland High School in 2004. Following graduation, he furthered his education at Mississippi Delta Community College in Moorhead, Mississippi.

Christopher was a dedicated entrepreneur, owning M & C Construction as well as Straight Shooters Pool Hall. A passionate pool player, he took great pride in sponsoring Roland Garcia, recognized as one of the top pool players in the world. Alongside his love of pool, Christopher enjoyed fishing and had a meticulous nature, taking pleasure in chores and maintaining cleanliness. Known for his warm heart and great sense of humor, he delighted in bringing happiness to those around him and cherished playfully teasing his parents and friends. Most of all, Christopher treasured his role as a devoted father. He attended Orchard Church in Tupelo, Mississippi, where he found solace in worshiping his savior.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Donald and Johnnie Mae Yarborough, Sarah, and Miller Hurst, as well as his half-brother, Brian Haynes. Christopher is survived and lovingly remembered by his father, Doug Yarborough (Pam); his mother, Patricia Witt Yarborough; and his devoted wife, Taylor Ashcraft Yarborough, of Saltillo, MS. He also leaves behind his cherished daughters, Haylee, Hanna, Hollie, Haydn, and son, Ledge Yarborough, all of Tupelo. He is survived by two brothers, Douglas Yarborough II of Bellavista, Arkansas, and Kelly Yarborough of Harrison, Arkansas; two sisters, Lacy Baker of Drew, Mississippi, and Ashley Bailey of Tupelo, Mississippi, 2 step-brothers, Dalten Hampton and Blake Hampton. Additionally, he will be fondly remembered by a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers honored to carry Christopher to his final resting place will be Douglas Yarborough, II, Kelly Yarborough, Houston Witt, Steven Williams, Joey Dycus, and Cole Yarborough. Honorary pallbearers include Michael Ryan Melton, Tim Baker, Eli Hicks, Zach Witt, Wayne Moss, Jon Baker, Fischer Hicks, Michael Melton and Ronnie Yarborough.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from noon until 2:00 PM at Cleveland Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 PM in the Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to take place at Delta Heights Memorial Gardens in Cleveland, Mississippi. Reverend Jonathan Glover and Mark Yarborough will officiate the services.
