🌸 What a joy-filled visit! Our community recently welcomed a wonderful group of young visitors from Our Children's Place Child Care Centers for a special intergenerational get-together, and it was nothing short of heartwarming.

The kids and residents sat down together and interviewed each other, swapping stories, asking questions, and sharing laughs across generations. Then everyone got creative making handmade flowers together!

There is nothing quite like a room full of little ones and a whole lot of heart. The joy in the room was absolutely contagious. Proud grandfriends over here! 💚

🎓 Congratulations are in order! Three of our very own came in dressed in their caps and gowns the other week, and we loved every single second of it!

Residents and staff gathered to celebrate these incredible young women on this sweet milestone, and what a moment it was. Their caps? Uniquely decorated, completely personal, and absolutely cool. Just like them.

It is such an honor to be a part of these young adults' lives and to watch them step into this next chapter. The work they do here is meaningful, and the joy they bring to our community every day is something we don't take for granted.

🇺🇸 All week long, we’ve been celebrating the red, white, and blue! From learning about all 50 states to reflecting on the moments that have shaped this great nation, our community took a walk through American history together.

We celebrated the milestones that made us proud and paused to remember, the ones that tested us. Every one of those moments, the triumphs and the trials, is woven into the fabric of who we are as a country.

And what better day to wrap it all up than the 4th of July! 🎆 Happy Birthday, America!

Earlier this month, Ashton Place was proud to celebrate a special accomplishment alongside our Care Coordinator, Keith, as he graduated from Leadership Ontario.

Over the course of the nine-month program, participants focused on personal and professional growth while building leadership skills and strengthening connections throughout Ontario County.

When asked about his experience, Keith shared that he made friendships he expects to last a lifetime and that the program helped him gain confidence and step outside of his comfort zone.

Keith's commitment to growth, service, and leadership reflects the values we strive to foster every day at Ashton Place. We are grateful for the positive difference he makes in the lives of our residents and families.

One message from the event that stood out was:

"It's not what we do, but who we are."

💙 We made it to day five, the grand finale of Summer Fun Week! Today was all about BLUE, and we celebrated outside with delicious blueberry banana splits and the toe-tapping polka music of Fritz!

One song in particular, "Bubble Polka," written by Fritz's own father, had us all swaying along. There's something extra special about live music with a personal story behind it, and it was the perfect soundtrack to close out an incredible week.

To every resident who showed up, dressed the part, and brought their energy to each and every day, thank you for making this week so special. And to our amazing staff who work behind the scenes to make all this magic happen, we see you and we appreciate you. It truly takes a village, and we couldn't be more proud of ours!

💚 Summer Fun Week is in full bloom here at Ashton Place on day four with GOING GREEN! Everyone showed up dressed in their best green, ready for a day all about sustainability and growth.

We kicked things off with an inspiring and informative discussion on going green, followed by something truly special, planting our own sunflower seeds! 🌻There's something so hopeful about putting a little seed in the soil and watching it grow.

Of course, we couldn't let the day go by without a treat to match the theme, so we wrapped things up with refreshing lime floats. Green never tasted so good! 🍋💚

🟡 Summer Fun Week rolled into day three with MELLOW YELLOW Day! And mellow is not the word we'd use for today's main event, an epic volleyball showdown with teams made up of both residents and staff!

We may all be one big team here, but today everyone brought their competitive spirit to the court. It came right down to the wire, and Team Digger pulled off the win at the very last minute! What a match! 🏐

We cooled things down afterward with a refreshing Lemonade Social to wrap up all that mellow yellow fun. Sweet, sunny, and the perfect way to end a high-energy day!

Three days in, and Summer Fun Week just keeps getting better. Can't wait to see what tomorrow brings! 🌈

🍓 Summer Kick Off Week continues with TICKLED PINK Day! The morning started off a little grey, but by the time Strawberry Shortcake fun rolled around, the skies had cleared up to nothing but blue and sunshine!

Everyone enjoyed a sweet treat together, made fresh by our baking extraordinaire, Madeline! These strawberry shortcakes did not disappoint. From the delish biscuits to the fresh berries and whipped cream, every bite was pure summer bliss. 🍓

Tickled pink and feeling good, that's how we like it! More colorful fun still to come this week! 🌈
