🏈 Is knee pain keeping you from performing your best on the football field?

Knee pain doesn't just affect your comfort. It can impact your speed, power, and playing time. The right exercises and physical therapy treatment can help improve knee stability, reduce pain, and get you back to performing at your full potential.

Try these 3 exercises:
✔️ Glute Bridges, Clamshells, and Lateral Band Walks to strengthen the hips and glutes and reduce stress on the knee during sprinting and cutting.
✔️ Split Squats, Goblet Squats, and Leg Extensions to build quad strength and improve knee stability and power.
✔️ Step-Ups, Single-Leg RDLs, and Balance Holds to improve single-leg control and stability during football-specific movements.

At Clifton Physical Therapy, we help athletes reduce knee pain, improve performance, and return to sport with personalized treatment plans.

🏃 Is an ACL tear making you question whether you'll be able to return to your sport?

After ACL reconstruction, many athletes struggle with strength, stability, and confidence when returning to competition. The right ACL rehab program and physical therapy treatment can help you rebuild strength and safely return to your sport.

Here are 3 exercises that may help support ACL recovery:
✔️ Step-Ups to build single-leg strength and improve control during walking and running
✔️ Split Squats to improve knee strength, stability, and movement control
✔️ Single-Leg Reach Exercises to develop balance, coordination, and stability while reducing the risk of re-injury

At Clifton Physical Therapy, we help athletes recover from ACL injuries, rebuild confidence, and return to the sports they love with personalized treatment plans.

Perhaps not…🤭

If your ACL rehab still feels shaky, this is why 🦵

A lot of people “finish” ACL rehab
But they never actually trust their knee again
And that’s a problem.

If your rehab doesn’t include:
• measurable quad strength
• true single-leg control
• return-to-sport training like jumping and cutting

You’re not done.
You’re just cleared.

If you’re in Clifton NJ and your knee still feels unstable, scared to cut, or not ready to return to sport, physical therapy should go further than bands and basic exercises.

📞 Call Clifton Physical Therapy and let us actually test your strength, build a plan, and get you confident moving again.

If you feel off-balance, try these 3 quick tests 🚶

If any of these are hard, it’s a sign your balance system needs rehab, not just time.

Test 1: single-leg stand for 20 seconds
Test 2: heel-to-toe walk in a straight line
Test 3: walk forward while turning your head side to side

If you shake, drift, get dizzy, or feel delayed catching yourself, that’s a clue your balance issue may be strength, vestibular, or neuro-related.

If you’re in Clifton NJ and balance issues or dizziness are not improving, call Clifton Physical Therapy. We can assess what’s driving it and build a plan to help you feel stable again.

If you get dizzy when you turn your head, don’t ignore it 🤢

That off-balance feeling isn’t always random.

It can be your vestibular system, the part of your inner ear and brain that controls balance.

Try these 3 quick things:
• Focus drill
Thumb out, eyes locked, turn your head side to side for 10 seconds
• Slow position changes
If dizziness spikes when you stand up or roll in bed, move in stages
• Track triggers
Head turns, screens, busy environments, those patterns matter

If you’re in Clifton NJ and dizziness or vertigo is not improving, call Clifton Physical Therapy. Vestibular rehab can be life-changing and you don’t have to just live with it.

POV: you made one exercise look a little too smooth and now your PT is feeling inspired

05/25/2026

Quick test: are you dizzy… or is it vertigo? 🤢

People use those words like they’re the same thing, but they’re not.

And knowing the difference matters because it changes what treatment actually works.

Here’s the simple breakdown:
• Vertigo = spinning or the room feels like it’s moving
• Dizziness = lightheaded, foggy, off
• Imbalance = unstable, like you might fall

If any of this is happening and it’s not improving, don’t guess.

If you’re in Clifton NJ, call Clifton Physical Therapy. We assess dizziness, balance issues, and vertigo and can guide you through vestibular rehab if that’s what you need.

If walking feels unsafe or you feel unsteady, don’t ignore it 🚶

A lot of people assume balance problems are just weakness or “getting older.”

But sometimes it’s how your nervous system is controlling movement.

Neuro physical therapy can help with:
• balance retraining
• gait training so walking feels steady again
• coordination and strength so your brain and body work together

If you’re in Clifton NJ and you feel unsteady, off-balance, or nervous walking, call Clifton Physical Therapy. We’ll assess what’s driving it and build a clear plan to help you feel stable again.
